Confusion, inconsistency, vagueness, ambiguity, unclear…the words would go on in flow to say about this film in one word.

Story:
Mahesh (Srikanth) is a CI who works with sincerity. H never bends to any political leader and also to his bosses (!) He also batters DSP once for supporting bad politicians. Obviously the unscrupulous politicians put Mahesh in trouble. TheyPublish Post kill his family (Kalyani played wife) in a hard to believe way. They dress his wife and children with banners saying, “Muslims should quit India and live only in Pakistan” and then leave them in old city. Infuriated Muslims throw stones on that lady and children and kill them. Will people kill kids in that way without knowing who tied those banners to them? (Although it’s not convincing in the flow of screenplay, director can justify the same with the incident happened to Graham Steve and his family a few years ago!!!!).

Coming back to the story, CI Mahesh will also be battered by gundas. They think that he is dead. But he resurrects and tonsures his head and moustache. No one recognizes him in that get up. He changes his name as Bhagavanthudu, joins with a politician (Chalapathi Rao) and stays like a dog at his feet (symbolically Srikanth barks like dog to make audiences understand that he is like a dog at that politician. Is that not a height of symbolic creativity!!!!) This politician was a direct victim of the sincerity of CI Mahesh before. But he will not recognize him as he is tonsured!!!!!

Bhagavanthudu becomes MLA with the help of Ruchi Devi (Mumaith Khan) a king maker in ruling party where ministers also talk to her with fear. But the same Ruchi dances in a cabaret and entertains her party men!!! Confusion again? Yes, we are bound to that.

Finally Bhagavanthudu enlightens police, people and politicians in dramatic situations those lack conviction and material. In the climax, Bhagavanthudu resigns as MLA and joins as CI in police department again with the recommendation of Chief Minister.

That’s the outline of story.

Performances:
It’s needless to talk about performances of anyone in the film. Srikanth’s character itself is confused although there is a confession in the climax to recall that he is hero of the film.
Mumaith Khan is for glamour quotient and presents on screen only to dance for a couple of songs and get massaged with Srikanth.

Dharmavarapu, Krishna Bhagwan, MS Narayana, Brahmanandam, Venu Madhav and Lakhmipathi assumed that they did comedy but that ended up as a pale show bringing headache for audiences. We cannot blame them for that but Posani is answerable.

Simply to say, Posani scissored and operated the heads of audiences without any mercy and killed their interest to watch films for a few days.

The only dialogue that is sensible in the film is asking politicians to take appointment from people to meet them and solve their problems (like Prajalavaddaku Paalana).

Analysis:
The film starts with an interesting scene where Srikanth walks nude on roads of Hyderabad. There is no proper justification for that scene. After sometime, slowly we feel that the film is taking shape something on the lines of ‘M Dharma Raju MA’. But as the film completes rolling for 20 minutes, we will come to conclusion that ‘Operation Failure-Cinema Dead’. It’s hard to sit for second half in theater. But only the professional obligations like ‘writing reviews’ would forcibly keep a few in theaters.

Just a few hours before the release of the film someone said that Srikanth’s characterization will be like that of Saif Ali Khan in ‘Omkara’. But there is no resemblance to that film and it’s completely ‘original’. Srikanth portrayed a different role in it. Considering the theme of the film, it’s completely confused and erratic. Giving an ear to music, it’s completely cacophonous. We can really wonder how Sri Lekha gave such a pitiful music. Looking at the quality of re-recording and dialogues it’s like a C grade film dubbed from Malayalam or Kannada. Coming to the screenplay and direction it’s horrible and miserable. Posani Krishna Murali intended to tell everything he has in his mind within 2 hours. He tried to gush out all current affairs as single celluloid story.

This theme shouldn’t be made a film. It would get better response if it were made into a drama and played in Ravindra Bharathi. On a whole, it sounds to be a mere stage drama and strictly far from Cinema elements. Beaten track with routine set of gundas, political rowdies…..sincere police officer….. political rowdies harming him and later the same officer taking revenge is a known formula for Telugu audiences. The film simply runs on it added with confusion in screenplay and narration.

What the director wanted to tell is vague. At times he used symbolisms which are hard to digest in commercial cinema.

The review is written this way since the director released it as commercial cinema. It would have been different if the director said that it is not for commercial release but only made under the category of parallel cinema without any desire to earn money on it. Then critics would have shown consideration by understanding the romanticism in director’s head. But since it’s released as commercial cinema, there is no other way other than analyzing on these lines.

Bottom Line: Don’t put your heads in theatre for unnecessary operation.

'Shivaji' New Story Is Apparently Revealed

Already there was a story leakage of Rajni Kanth's 'Shivaji' long back. Yesterday, the trailer of the film was released on CNN IBN exclusively.

After watching the trailer the film lovers started assuming the story of the film in the way they liked. Rajni was shown in different get ups appealing for all sets of audiences. It is said that there is a resemblance to the leaked story to some extent. Adding to that people feel that the first half of the film goes with comedy and Rajni's songs as singer while second half runs on the aspect of social responsibility.

Rajni plays the role of an NRI in the film that gets betrayed by villains and again teaches them a lesson with his shrewdness.

The film is going to release on 15th June for sure for the delight of all Rajni Fans.

Genelia Is Just 19 and Making Rs 30 Lakhs

Genelia was born on 5 August 1987. So with that we can say that she is just 19 as of now and turning 20 only after two months. She is now claming a good remuneration of Rs 30 lakhs. Well, we can understand when she debuted on screen if she is just 19 now.

Rajasekhar Worried For Not Reaching Rs 1 Cr Mark

Dr Rajasekhar seems to be getting worried for several reasons these days. He has been in the industry for years together and also made films on his own. He bagged big fame as action her and had set his own trade mark as well. But even now his highest remuneration is not crossing Rs 50 lakh limit. Even after the success of 'Yevadaithey Nakenti', Rajasekhar is not being offered anything more than Rs 50 lakh. This is pestering him and making worried. Sachin Tendulkar back into top-20

DUBAI: Riding on his two centuries against Bangladesh, Sachin Tendulkar jumped back in the top-20 of the latest LG-ICC Player Rankings for Test cricket batsmen.

The 34-year-old veteran player scored a hundred in each match, at Chittagong and Mirpur, compiling a total of 254 runs at an average of 127 to move up six places to 15th position in the rankings issued on Tuesday.

With a total of 672 ratings points, Tendulkar has Stephen Fleming of New Zealand and England's Paul Collingwood in his sights, although he is a long way off his own career-best rating of 898 set in 2002.

It was a good series for India's bowlers too with Anil Kumble moving up to third among Test bowlers. Kumble is now level with South Africa's Shaun Pollock and is just ahead of Shane Bond of New Zealand and Australia's Stuart Clark.

Left-arm opening bowler Zaheer Khan, who took a total of eight wickets at an average of 21.88, moved up five places to 24th in the rankings, led by Sri Lankan wizard Muttiah Muralidharan. Makhaya Ntini of South Africa occupies second spot while Kumble and Pollock are joint third.

Australia captain Ricky Ponting leads the Rankings for Test batsmen, followed by Pakistan's Mohammad Yousuf in second spot and England's Kevin Pietersen third.

Pietersen became just the 21st batsman in history to achieve a rating in excess of 900 points, thanks to his double century during the second Test against the West Indies at Headingley.

India is fourth of the ICC Test Championship and is now just one ratings point behind Pakistan in third position. Australia still tops the list, well clear of England in second position.

Naidu banks on Balakrishna to do the trick

In 2001, filmstar Balakrishna took on the factionists of Ralayaseema in the film ‘Samarasimhareddy’. In 2009, N Chandrababu Naidu wants the aging star to take on Kadapa strongman and chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in the assembly elections on his behalf.

Soon to cement their ties by marriage of their son and daughter, TDP supremo Naidu and Balakrishna are set to firm up their public association in the run up to the elections two years hence and indications are that Balakrishna may well campaign for Naidu. But what remains to be seen is whether his presence can swing the election in favour of Naidu.

In fact, for some years now, Balakrishna has not been doing well in Tollywood. In fact, just when everyone thought his film career was over in 2001, he produced a smash hit ‘Samaraseema Reddy’ and followed it up three years later with ‘Lakshminarasimha’. However, since then, he has not had great hits, though his fans speak of a sure success to be released later this year.

Balakrishna fans contend that his father N T Rama Rao too took the plunge into politics at the fag end of his film career. And they believe that Balakrishna too can be not just a crowd puller but a vote puller as well. “He has a huge fan following still, and can definitely swing votes in favour of Naidu and the TDP by campaigning actively,” said a leader.

But others doubt whether his fast disappearing celluloid charisma can fetch the votes for Naidu. “I doubt that he can deliver a lot of votes for the TDP,” said a TDP leader.

In case Balakrishna takes the plunge, what can further compound his crowd and vote-pulling charisma is if rival filmstar Chiranjeevi too jumps into the electoral fray to champion the cause of his Kapu community. If that happens, the state electorate is sure to witness a clash of two ‘reel’ heroes in real politics.

The popular site has once again pipped several channels to the post and recorded thousands of hits after news that the Sivaji trailer had been posted online spread. Sources say the when the AVM bigwigs heard about the leak, they immediately released the trailer to NDTV. This is not the first time the Internet has played villain to the producers. Recently, they incurred substantial losses after four songs from the movie were posted online even before the official launch of the audio.

Then too, the producers did a very rushed damage control operation and organised and audio release. However, but then, enterprising businessmen were making CDs by downloading the songs off the Internet and selling them on the roads for as little as Rs 10 and Rs 20. To combat this, even though the cassettes and CDs very priced at lower rates than originally planned, sources say that the producers incurred a substantial revenue loss as a result of the leak. Not only is the trailer available, all the songs and some related interviews have been posted on youtube.com, making it a virtual treat for all Rajni fans. Looks like the Internet is proving to be a bigger threat for the producers, one that they wouldn’t have anticipated.

Mohan Babu: 'Competition Between My Sons and Me?'

Mohan Babu is busily promoting the film 'Raju Bhai' appearing in TV channels. In a fresh live show he spoke very high about the film and the characterization of Raju Bhai in that. The interview lasted for about 30 minutes and Mohan Babu turned a big Film analyst and Critic talking about it.

The anchor asked at last if he is competing with his sons or his sons competing with him.

Gossip: Chiru's House Evaluated To Rs 76 Cr!

Fresh grapevine says that Chiranjeevi's house is worth Rs 76 Crore now including the land value and building. It was almost quadrupled from the time it laid its foundation stone. A few months back it was said that the worth of the bungalow is Rs 36 Crore but now it was almost more than doubled.

Chiranjeevi used to stay in a bungalow near the Jubilee Hills Check post till the release of 'Tagore'. Only after that he was shifted to new building that's made with fine artistic taste.

A fresh estimate says that Chiranjeevi has already crossed earning a property worth Rs 1000 Crore.

Lokesh to checkmate Balaiah's plans?

There is said to be more than what meets the eye in Lokesh, son of Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu, being adamant on marrying Brahmani, daughter of Naidu's brother-in-law and film star N Balakrishna.

There is a talk in political circles that it was a deliberate strategy on the part of Chandrababu Naidu to convince Balaiah for the marriage, only to checkmate the latter's plans of entering politics in a big way. Balaiah was originally contemplating to float his own political party and build it up like the Telugu Desam on the lines of his father N T Rama Rao. But when his graph in films started showing downtrend, he developed second thoughts and at this stage, Naidu invited him into the Telugu Desam to give a boost to the sagging morale of the party. But, heart in hearts, Naidu was apprehensive that if Balaiah comes into the party, he might dominate the scene which he doesn't like.

At this stage, the proposal for alliance between Lokesh and Brahmani came up for discussion.
