AR Rehman Is Being Paid Rs. 2 Cr For 'Puli'

Fresh grapevine says that AR Rehman is offered Rs 2 Cr for composing music for Pawan Kalyan's next venture 'Puli'. SJ Surya is directing the film and the combination is hitting after a long time with 'Khushi'. AR Rehman's scores for direct Telugu films are easily countable and this would be his next flick after 'Naani' of Mahesh Babu.

The film is going to be planned with very high budget and the expectations are very high on this now. The makers are highly confident about the film and its success.

Let us watch and see if there will be anything official about this film. The film is going to hits the floors as soon as Pawan Kalyan completes his part with Trivikram Sreenivas' venture.

Shankar Vara Prasad to Chiranjeevi to Director!

Chiranjeevi is now a relieved man. His much-awaited film Shankar Dada Zindabad has finally been released and has been received average by the audience. It may not be one of his best films but it certainly is one of his better films.

Chiranjeevi is now all set to act in his 150th movie. Paruchuri brothers have readied a script based on the life of the great freedom fighter from Rayalaseema, Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. And Chiranjeevi has agreed to play the title role.

It is being said in film circles that Chirnajeevi is keen to not only play the title role but also direct the movie.

If this is true, then, his fans will now have two reasons to rejoice. From Shankar Dada MBBS to Shankar Dada Director?!

Sexy Nayantara's Victory Hopes With Venkatesh

It is really a rare thing to see a heroine getting huge applause with dubbing films. After Nalini in 80s it is Nayantara now. She looted the hearts of many with her presence in 'Chandramukhi'. She is 23 year old now and her original name is Diana Kurian.

She acted in direct Telugu film 'Lakshmi' and bagged stardom very soon. Many assumed that she would give tough competition for Trisha. But the subsequent films 'Boss' and 'Yogi' were turned down. Although 'Dubai Seenu' did well, there is nothing to say about Nayantara in that.

Now she pinned all her hopes on Venkatesh's new film that is tentatively titled 'Tulasi'. Boyapati directed the film. The name of Nayantara was heard while the heroine selection was going on for 'Shankrdada Zindabad'. Same happened with Mahesh Babu's 'Mirchi'. But nothing turned in favor of her till now.

She believes that victory with that Venkatesh's film would bring her many offers.

Tollywood is my home, says Tabu, who now wants to concentrate on Tollywood offers. She is pleased with the movies she is getting and doesn't want to lose them. Being a Hyderabadi, she had been also focusing on Bollywood.

Buzz: Trisha's Security Systems worth Rs. 1 Cr

Trisha has been enjoying the celebrity status and her fans are increasing day by day in Tamil Nadu as well as Andhra. A few days ago, a hardcore fan of Trisha also tried to build a temple for her in Rajahmundry. That is the sign of her growing popularity and demi-goddess image, despite she has many controversies in her hat.
People are always thronging to watch Trisha whenever she comes in and goes out of her house. She is suggested by her guards to go with updated security systems to protect from thronging fans.
Trisha agreed for that and called on for engineers to upgrade security systems in her house. Hyderabad Connection For Mahesh Babu's Heroine

Amrutha Rao is on cloud 9 for acting with Mahesh Babu in 'Athidhi'. Now she got another call to sit on cloud 10! That is an offer from legendary director Shyam Benegal. He is making a film in which Amrutha is given a village woman's role to play. Amrutha said that she felt like acting in Shyam Benegal's direction after watching 'Zubeida'. She also said that she never felt that the offer would come so soon.

The shooting of this Shyam Benegal's film go on a maximum extent in Hyderabad. The wonder is that Shyam Benegal hasn't seen any of Amrutha Rao's films so far. She acted in 'Main Hoo Na', 'The legend of Bhagat Singh', 'Ishq Vishq', 'Vivah' and 'Life Ho To Aisi' so far.

The shooting would start after the completion of her part in 'Athidhi'.

Amrutha spent quite a log time in Hyderabad with 'Athidhi'. Now again she continues doing the same with Shyam Benegal's film.

Trade Talk: Shankardada Zindabad Becoming Weak!

The film 'Shankardada Zindabad' was released with huge expectations. It is an open fact that Chiranjeevi's film run with houseful collections for at least 3 weeks. But out of astonishment, the collections of this film are going week from the 4th day of release itself. The collections are poor even in B, C centers. The film is different from typical Chiranjeevi formula. Producers failed to give proper publicity for the film. Many in B, C centers felt that 'Shankardada MBBS' is released again with changed title as they are not aware of sequel formula. The film is showing vacant seats in many theaters. So, it is now a big task to recover the deposits.

According to initial sources, the collections of 'Shankardada Zindabad' overseas also recorded poor and buyers are incurring heavy losses.

The buyers of 'Lakshyam' are happy as they initially felt that 'Shankardada Zindabad' would affect their collections. The film 'Lakshyam' made about 70 percent collections in many theaters.

Puri Jagan’s son is acting as childhood version of Ram Charan Teja character in Chiruta film. Puri Jagan has done a couple of sidekick roles in films like Shiva (Hindi) before becoming a full-fledged director. Puri Jagan’s younger brother Sairam Shankar too acted in sidekick roles in films like Idiot become making debut as hero with 143. 80% of the shooting of Chiruta is complete. The next schedule will start in Hyderabad in a couple of days. 3 songs are been shot so far. The unit would be going abroad to shoot two more songs.

As per the sources of idlebrain.com, youth heartthrob Siddhardh is expected to do Nallamalupu Bujji’s next production. Dolly is going to be introduced as director with this film. He gave story to Ravi Teja’s Bhageeratha film in the past. Siddhardh seem to have liked the storyline. The script work is currently oing on. Bujji proved to be the man with Midas touch as his ventures Lakshmi and Lakshyam turned out to be super hits.

The unit of Yamagola is in Bangkok to shoot a couple of songs. Postproduction work is going on in full swing in Hyderabad. This film is another socio fantasy which has Srikanth and Venu acting as grandsons of Yama and Chitragupta respectively. Meera Jasmine and Reema Sen are playing heroines. This film will hit the marquee soon.

Santosham film magazine has always been associated with glamour and glitz. This magazine was launched in huge scale at Shilpa Kala Vedika on the night of 2nd October 2002 by ANR and Chiranjeevi. Nagarjuna and Dasari graced the occasion when Santosham completed 1st anniversary.
Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna attended the 2nd anniversary which was held in 2004. Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna also attended the 3rd anniversary which was held on 2nd August. Venkatesh attended the last anniversary function which was held in the year of 2005. This time Santosham Suresh changed the venue from Shilpa Kala Vedika and Gachibowli stadium in Hyderabad to Sharjah this year. The 5th anniversary of Santosham magazine and the 3rd edition of Santosham film awards will be held in a grand gala function to be arranged in Sharjah on 7th September. This function will be graced by the big stars of Telugu cinema. Santosham Suresh is always known for his ‘think big’ attitude.
He also produced Premiste film which was a blockbuster. He launched VCD version of Santosham film magazine last year. This function will also coincide with the 1st anniversary of Santosham video mag launch. The 5th anniversary of Santosham magazine was held on 2nd August at a grand function arranged in Film Nagar Cultural Club.
This function is attended by glamorous heroines like Ileana, Mamata Mohandas, Charmme, Nikita, Mumaith Khan, Arti Agarwal and Prema. The guests launched the awards trailer. All the guests have given shields to the agents who donated blood on this occasion. The birthday functions of Devi Sri Prasad and daughter of Santosham Suresh were organized at the same venue.

Shekar Kammula in an interview said "If Anand is a film about romanticizing simple things in life; Happy Days is about romanticizing college life. Happy days will be more forceful compared to my earlier movies."

Screen Talk: Reema Sen compared to Jayamalini!

Reema Sen is presently working for a Telugu film Yamagola Malli Modalaindhi.

Rajashekar, one of the producers of Yamagola Mallimodalaindhi, which is expected to be ready for release in a couple of weeks, has a word of appreciation for the actress. “Her presence is like sea of energy in each and every scene,” he remarks.

She is presently shooting in the pubs of Bangkok with Srikanth and Venu for the dance number, O Subba Ravoo, O Appa Ravoo. The song is the remix version from NTR’s Yamagola.

The crew of the movie is confident that Reema Sen will bring back the magic of Jayamalini with this number.

Kareena Kapoor’s ‘train’ed by Lover!

Actress Kareena Kapoor has never travelled by train. And so, it was quite hilarious when she was shooting a ‘train scene’ for Imtiaz Ali’s yet-to-be-titled film with beau Shahid Kapoor. The actress was required to jump into a running train, and didn’t quite know how to do it. So Shahid, who has travelled in trains before he became an actor, helped her with the scene step-by-step, we hear. It did require quite a few takes, but Kareena finally managed well. By now, she must definitely be well-‘train’ed we are sure!

Actress arrested for blackmailing businessman

A model-turned-actress, who attempted to blackmail a businessman after taking videos of them in a compromising position at a star hotel in Meenambakkam was arrested. According to the police, the actress, identified as Padma Narayanan, demanded Rs. 10 crore after spending a night with the businessman for an agreed sum of Rs 25,000, failing which she threatened to make the videos of the two of them public. Padma, aged 29, a resident of Velachery, acted in Tamil movie Veeraswamy. According to eye witnesses, she was arrested at a jewellery shop in Cathedral road on Wednesday afternoon and bundled into a police vehicle. She had arrived at the jewellery store to meet her victim, a businessman named Pradeep K. from Anna Nagar.

The actress was waiting for the businessman at the jewellery shop because he told her she could buy whatever she wanted from the store. “We told the businessman to set a trap for her. She was told that it would be difficult for Pradeep to give her Rs. 10 crore in cash, so she was asked to make some purchases from the jewellery shop,” the police said. A police team headed by an assistant commissioner from St Thomas Mount waited at the shop with policewomen in mufti. As soon as the actress arrived in her Honda City car and entered the shop, the police team picked her up.

According to sources, the police team questioned her in the vehicle and by evening she confessed to the crime and even provided the police with details of her three associates who also threatened the businessman. They were identified as Sanjay, a 29 year-old model, Ameer John, 28, and Chandran, 28, both car brokers. The police also seized a Honda City car, a lap top, 7 mobile phones and a gun from the arrested. On Thursday morning, the police didn’t want to wait for the courts to open, and rushed the case by producing her at the residence of a magistrate — something that is usually done only in VIP and emergency cases. The magistrate remanded her to judicial custody for 15 days.

Padma’s Modus Operandi

The businessman and actress travelled by the same car and checked into a room at the hotel on July 27. After entering the hotel room, she told him she had left her walkman in the car and asked him to fetch it. When he went out, she arranged four cellphones at four corners of the bed and started the recording option. When he returned, the four cell phone cameras capture0all the bedroom activity from four angles. Later, she kept the mobile phones back in her handbag without him noticing. The two agreed to meet next day also in the same hotel.

But the next day, she came with three of her associates and showed him the video recordings of previous night. The recording was played on a lap top and the four demanded Rs. 10 crore from him or they threatened to ruin his reputation in public. The businessman offered to pay Rs. 10 lakh, but the gang insisted that he should pay Rs. 10 crore or they would shoot him. This is when he approached the police and set a trap for the actress. Sources said that the businessman has been involved with the actress for the last six months.
