John-Bipasha Back Together!

The much-in-the-news Bipasha-John pair is very much together. Though both the parties refuse to comment on it, a close friend reveals, "The couple have sorted out their difference after John returned from Pondicherry. They're very much together. In fact John is going through a family illness. And Bipasha is with him throughout."

When asked Bipasha shrugs off the 'on' status of her relationship with John. "I don't think I want to talk about my personal life anymore. What's happening there is for me to know.But yes, John and I have come together professionally again after Goal, this time with an item song in Anurag Kashyap's No Smoking."

But it wasn't the presence of John that impelled Bipasha to accept the song. "Certainly not! It was Vishal Bhardwaj, the man who gave me two of my best item number Beedi and Namak in Omkara. He told me about the item song in No Smoking at the IIFA in Yorkshire. After what the Omkara numbers did to my stage presence I promptly said yes to Vishal."

What about the danger of being branded an item girl?

"When have I cared about my image?" Bipasha shrugs. "And besides I've full faith in the intelligence of the film industry, also my audiences. By now they know what I'm capable of, and it's not just items."

Bipasha is now looking forward to shaking a leg with John for No Smoking. "Though we've done songs before, John and I have never done this kind of sizzling number before. Vishal has pulled out all stops in the composition."

Bipasha is sure the number will be a rage. "John and I are have fun dancing to it. I love the tune. Shooting it feels really good. Hopefully it'll be another number to bring the house down at my stage concerts."

Buzz: John trying his best to woo Bipasha again!

The John Abraham and Bipasha Basu saga continues. The latest news about the on-and-off couple is that John is trying his best to woo Bipasha again. As a result, the two are now bonding over frequent lunches. Bipasha’s Khar pad has been conveniently fixed as the venue, as the actress has an efficient bunch of house staff. Her neighbours say that John’s car is often parked outside their apartment in the afternoon.

Close friends of the couple also indicate that John is making attempts to renew his ties with his girlfriend, and he is making sure that he spends quality time with Bips every day.

On the other hand, Saif Ali Khan is said to be partying with Bips almost every night! Kya believe karen?

Screen Buzz: What upsets Bipasha Basu?

Nothing upsets actress Bipasha Basu – not even the gossipmongers and the prying media. At a conference recently, Bipasha made it a point to answer questions only relating to the purpose of the conference and refused to answer any controversial queries.

When the media further tried to probe into it, by saying she ought to 'clarify', she said, "I don't feel the need to. I am not upset with anybody.

People will do what they have to, they'll write what they want to and make what they will of situations." Looks like this one is really off press!

Screen Buzz: Bips-John patch up?

Perhaps one of the best looking couples in Bollywood, John Abraham and Bipasha Basu have had a relationship for around 5-6 years now and everything seemed to be going hunky dory till some time ago when the rumours of John being linked with certain other colleagues from the industry started surfacing.
There were rumours of a rift in their relationship then, but both vehemently denied it. However strong rumours started again recently when John was shooting in Pondicherry for Nagesh Kukunoor’s ‘Aashayien’ and Bipasha was in the city.
Even though Bipasha was supposed to visit him on the 28th of June her not going further fuelled the rumours.
Then Bipasha made a trip to Portugal to represent India for the ‘Seven Wonders of the World’. Then pictures making rounds of her having kissed football star Christiano Ronaldo just added to the fire.
Even after John came back from Pondicherry a week ago sources insisted that the two had not met each other. But that was until Saturday.
On Saturday night people saw John getting out of his SUV at 9 pm outside Bipasha’s residence in Bandra and entering her house. Nobody saw him getting out that night, so it looks like they have sorted out their differences.
If this is true we are only too happy for the couple and what’s a relationship without a lovers tiff here and there.

Star Talk: I am single, Bips tells friend

Bong bombshell Bipasha Basu and John Abraham appear to have finally called it quits.

According to a Times Now TV report, the two Bollywood stars have split. The channel quotes the couple's close friend and Bipasha’s designer Rocky S saying this.

Bipasha has apparently told her close friend that things had not been smooth between the two glamorous actors for a while.

First it was Bip's ex-boyfriend Dino Morea, then Saif Ali Khan and then most recently it was the much publicised 'kiss' with soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

As rumours flew the couple tried their best to pretend that all was well.

Now while Bipasha seems to be coming clean on the split, reports also say that John is still trying his best to win back his lady love.

After Shilpa Shetty, it’s Bipasha Basu who’s making news in the UK.

The Daily Star on Tuesday ran a front-page picture of Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, 22, kissing Bipasha, 28, in Lisbon where they’d gone for the Seven Wonders show recently.

The picture — titled Ronaldo Plays Away — was taken on stage when the two were naming Mexico’s Chichen Itza pyramid as one of the new Wonders.

According to the Daily Star, the two were spotted later in the evening at a party at the Belem Club getting physical with each other. Cristiano Ronaldo is reported to be in a relationship with glamour model Gemma Atkinson.

Another tabloid, Metro, ran a similar story and picture titled Are You Playing Away, Cristiano? The Mirror and The Sun have also carried the story with the same photograph.

The Asian community snapped up the story eagerly. On being contacted on her cell phone, Bipasha said: “Yes, it is me in the picture. It was taken at an opportune moment and has been taken out of context. Again, it looks like a case of irresponsible assumptions.”

Bipasha's Breast Makes National News

Almost all the TV channels started discussing about Bipasha Basu's breast upliftment. While a National channel discussed about it couple of days back, a local Telugu channel also did the same in its entertainment news.

It seems that Bipasha Basu underwent silicon transplantation some years ago and didn't pay the dues to the cosmetologist Dr Gupta. He started the propaganda that Bipasha's beauty is not original but artificially carved by him. This news took its place in Mumbai tabloid and appeared in a few National channels.

Silicon transplantation is so common that many Bollywood heroines had underwent before and still undergoing now. The latest among the list is Rakhi Sawanth as she said that in an interview.

Bipasha Basu is off to Lisbon, Portugal to host the grand seven wonders show on July 7, and mingle with Hollywood personalities like Hilary Swank and Sir Ben Kingsley.

She tells us her plans for the evening.

Hosting the new seven wonders shows at Lisbon, how did it come about?

I am usually very apprehensive about hosting any kind of show; I have always refused to anchor such events no matter what the amount of money offered to me is.

But this time, a friend from Delhi, Ambika Pillai, who has always insisted that I dabble in some kind of international work, put me in touch with Simone Sheffield. She is part of the organiser's team and she offered me a chance to host the show. And I said yes because I found it very challenging.

This show is about preserving world heritage. It's got nothing to with films; it's something totally different. And I am very excited about it.

Does the excitement also arise from the fact that you will be sharing the stage with Ben Kingsley and Hillary Swank? Are you even nervous?

I am like that little girl who has butterflies in her stomach. I am so thrilled! It would be great to meet celebrities like Ben Kingsley, Hillary Swank and watch Jennifer Lopez perform live! Neil Armstrong and Christiano Ronaldo will also attend the event so it will be an understatement to say that I am just excited! I don't even have a script for this yet, and I know it will be (done) last minute, but that doesn't deter me. I am prepared to do my best. The sheer scale of the show, held in a historical Lisbon football stadium, is mind-blowing!

Are you rooting for the Taj?

Oh yes, why not? Apart from being a beautiful, magnificent architectural extravaganza, the Taj has such a beautiful story behind it. All of us like to be loved, and all of us drool over such love stories as that of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal. Besides, the Taj is also internationally known to be associated with India. So if at all, any monument deserves to be up there, it's got to be the Taj!

What will you wear at the event?

(Laughs) That's a very important thing these days. I will be wearing a sari by my favourite designer, Rocky S. The organisers want me to wear an Armani gown for the second leg of the event, but I might reconsider that. I might choose the Delhi-based designer duo of Gauri-Nainika.
Let's shift focus to your films. Loads of work these days?

Yes, I have been neck deep in work. I have releases like Goal, Race and Mr Fraud lined up, and each one is different from each other. Goal is about national pride, and Mr Fraud is a comedy. Race is a typical edge-of-the-seat Abbas-Mastan thriller.

What happened between you and Arshad Warsi while shooting for Goal?

After we have made this beautiful film, I don't want to talk about stray incidents. Some small tiffs did happen, but at the end of the day, John (Abraham), Arshad, Boman (Irani) and I worked hard to make Goal a credible film. And I believe, it has turned out quite well, so I would rather not speak about it.

At the cost of earning your wrath, all well between you and John?

(Wags a finger and grins) You just won't learn! Yes, we are in love.

Why does your personal life always make news?

I don't know and I don't care. I am a very honest person who sticks by her true friends, and they value me too. The rest, they write to provoke me, so I have stopped reacting to it.
