Screen Talk: Fight For 'Shankarabharanam'!

Three consecutive days have seen a fight among the three groups for the super hit classic film 'Shankarabharanam'.

First day, Moser Baer gave an Ad in News Paper stating that it is releasing the DVD of that film at the cheapest price. Following the same, on the next day, the producer's camp of the film gave another Ad stating that all the rights of the film are vested with them and doing business with the same without their consent will have to face legalities.

On the subsequent day, that is today, another WARNING is published in the same News Paper as follows:

"We have bagged all the rights of the films 'Tayaramma Bangarayya', 'Shankarabharaam', 'Sitara', 'Sagara Sangamam', 'Seetha Koka Chiluka', 'Salangai Oli' (Tamil) and 'Sagara Sangamam' (Malayalam) from the respective producers signing on a lease agreement for 99 years. We are making business moves with other companies as we have lease agreement with us. If anyone makes a direct contact with the producers of those films and makes prints of the same, legal action will be taken accordingly- Lease Rights Holder, 1, Ramachandraiar Street, T Nagar, Chennai-17".

So, it's a fight for Shankarabharanam on a whole. Who is right has to be decided.

Snippet: 'Shankarabharanam' DVD At Just Rs 34

This is Moser Baer's new announcement. They took the DVD rights of the master piece film, 'Shankarabharanam' and the DVDs and VCDs were released. The VCD is priced at Rs.28 while DVD is at Rs 34. This is really a great revolution in video business and it will be right tool to fight piracy.
The Moser Baer is also coming forward to confer the Telugu film lovers with many hit films including classics, Mythology films, mass action films and other films in demand at cheaper rates possible.
Piracy business has been going on well as the price of original is always expensive.
But right now, a piracy VCD is being sold at Rs 50 in rural places and cities as well. So, Moser Baer is giving at half of the piracy price. Well, the cost of empty CD itself at Rs 15.
Good going Moser Baer technology! Let the piracy be wiped out with its roots.
