Buzz: Is Lokesh wedding date 'jinxed'?

The image “http://www.greatandhra.com/newsimages/lokesh1186676420.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

Numerologists argue that the date fixed for the wedding of former chief minister and Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu's son Nara Lokesh is "not auspicious". The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has, however, declared this date (August 26) as auspicious and good for marriages.

The argument put forward by numerologists is that dates like 8,17,26 are not auspicious as far as entering into wedlock is concerned. Numerologist Rachaa Suresh argues that these dates may sound numerically interesting but numerologically they are not.

"The number 8 is as fascinating as its devastating effect on the married life of people who enter into wedlock on these dates," he says.

Numerology do not agree on certain events which come once in a life, like marriage. Numerology believes more in numbers than in heavenly bodies like astrology.

Even the numbers that totals up 8 are 8, 17 and 26 while 5, 14 and 23 totals up 5. Numbers 4, 13, 22 and 31 totals up 4. So dates like 8, 17, 26, 5, 14, 23, 4, 13, 22 and 31 are inauspicious . Either the individual date or date+ month + year sum total should not add up to 8, 5 or 4.

Marriage at Hitex reception at Naravaripalli

The image “http://www.greatandhra.com/newsimages/lokesh1186498930.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

Former Andhra Pradesh chief minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N. Chandrababu Naidu's son Nara Lokesh Naidu will marry well-known Telugu film actor Nandamuri Balakrishna's daughter Brahmani on Aug 27.
Balakrishna is the brother-in-law of Naidu and son of thespian and TDP founder late N.T. Rama Rao.
The marriage ceremony will be held at Hitex near Hitec City here while Naidu will host a reception the next day at Naravaripalli in Chittor district, his native village.
Sources close to the Naidu family said Chandrababu Naidu would offer the first invitation to Lord Venkateswara at the famous Tirumala temple Wednesday.
Lokesh and Brahmani were engaged June 24 at the actor's house in Jubilee Hills here.
Sources said Naidu would keep the marriage ceremony a simple affair like the engagement, and only close family members and friends would be invited. Nobody from the TDP or other political parties was invited to the engagement ceremony.
Lokesh is studying for an MBA in Stanford University in the US, while Brahmani is studying engineering in Hyderabad.
Naidu had unseated his father-in-law NTR from power in 1995. The popular actor-turned politician died in January 1996. Naidu served as the chief minister till 2004.
The marriage of his son with Balakrishna's daughter is being seen as an attempt by Naidu to mend fences with NTR's family.

Just 700 Invitees For Lokesh Naidu's Marriage

August 26th will be a gala event in Nara-Nandamuri's family. That's the marriage of Chandrababu's son and Balakrishna's daughter. Chandrababu Naidu has only one son, Lokesh Naidu. But he is not sharing the happiness of his son's wedding with all his party members. He is inviting in very less number. Going by a rough estimate made by both families, not more than 700 invites would be sent out for the marriage, the venue for which would be Hitex at Madhapur. Naidu has left it to his wife, Bhuvaneshwari, to finalise the list of invitees, most of whom are likely to be family members and close friends.

After several rounds of consultations, Naidu is understood to have decided against inviting party men for the marriage as it would virtually convert what is essentially a private affair into a public meeting.

Lokesh is getting married to Brahmani, daughter of actor Balakrishna, brother-in-law of Chandrababu Naidu.

As for the engagement that took place last Sunday, family members said the ring Lokesh had exchanged with Brahmani and the necklace the latter was wearing were indeed pricey, in keeping with the status of the parents.

So, where is Lokesh going for his honeymoon ? Insiders say that he intends to take Brahmani to the US, where he is pursuing his MBA. But, a final decision is yet to be taken.

On the day of engagement, Lokesh, who was understandably nervous, discussed with the guests about his education in US, the lifestyle there and so on.

But, did you notice that Naidu garu and his family members chose a Volvo bus to go to brother-in-law Balakrishna's house, hardly half-a-km away?

Reminded of Abhi-Ash wedding wherein the Big B drove in a Volvo bus to the venue?

LP cries foul over Lokesh marriage

Those who attended the engagement ceremony of Brahmani, daughter of NTR's son Balakrishna with Lokesh, son of Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday, could find the presence of almost all the family members of former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao.

Except, of course, Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvathi, widow of NTR. Reason is obvious: None of NTR's sons and daughters, sisters and close relatives, acknowledges Lakshmi Parvathi as the legal wife of NTR, though he had actually married her in public. Therefore, it was natural that they don't treat her as their relative and invite to any function held in the family.

So, it was no surprise when Lakshmi Parvathi cried foul over the marriage of Lokesh with Brahmani and described it as a fraud. She said it would definitely have no blessings of NTR. She issued a statement saying Lokesh is fortunate to marry Brahmani, but Brahmani is unlucky to get a husband like Lokesh, because he happens to be the son of Chandrababu Naidu who had betrayed his own father-in-law. Moreover, Lakshmi Parvathi knows every bit about Lokesh, his bad habits and his illegal sexual affairs. She did not reveal them, but only said "the less I talk about that fellow, the better and God only save Brahmani."

Unfortunately for her, nobody is taking Lakshmi Parvathi's comments seriously!

Behind The Scene: Lokesh has Vision 2020!

Like his father N Chandrababu Naidu, who was dreaming of being in the Chief Minister's post till 2020, bridegroom Lokesh Naidu, too, appears to have a long term vision – of entering politics in the State.

Sources close to Naidu say Lokesh is not a man in hurry and would like to wait till his father steps back from the political scene in the State. Going by his observations, if Naidu comes back to power, which he thinks he would, Lokesh is willing to wait for another 10 years. Otherwise, he may take a plunge into active politics in the next five years.

In the meantime, Lokesh would concentrate on building up his own image in the State through his social service activities and get closer to the people. Right now, he is a consultant to the Pittsburgh Action Against Rape and he would like to establish a similar mission in Andhra Pradesh to help out the underprivileged sections of the society. As a World Bank trainee, Lokesh reportedly formulated a system required for Velugu project of the State government.

And being a management graduate, Lokesh is planning to give a corporate image to the Telugu Desam party from behind the screen. In fact, it is said the appointment of full-time MBA graduates to look after the NTR Trust Bhavan is Lokesh's idea. "Lokesh strongly feels that leadership is action, not position," sources say.

Lokesh, who feels that Naidu had to face the defeat because of some unpopular decisions like slash in the subsidy of rice, removing prohibition, revision of water cess and increase in power tariff, has some strong ideas of winning back the confidence of the people again. That is why, Naidu wants to give Lokesh a more prominent role hereafter.
