My Movie - Yamadonga
Yamadonga
Yamadonga-“is it a remake of the super hit of yesteryear’s Yamagola?” was my first feeling when I heard about the movie. And it was true to an extent. The movie has all the fantasy elements of the old version and also a number of other things which captivate u and hold you spell-bound for a complete 3 hours.
The first surprise you get once the movie has started is an extremely slim and fit looking NTR. It took me almost the whole time to actually believe that this was the same guy who had done Rakhi….
Then there is the plot-a petty thief who gets killed by Yama when he scolds the latter. This thief is so clever that he usurps even Yama’s power and threatens his place in heaven!!! The entire naraka episode is filled with anecdotes and comedy. Superb dialogue delivery by the 2 yamas (NTR and Mohan Babu) brings the house down.
The songs are an added asset to the movie. They go along with the flow and are foot-tapping.
Coming to the cast-Priyamani is really sweet as the curbed and tortured heiress; Mamta Mohandas entertains with her Nellore dialect (abbayya….). Rambha sizzles in the item song just as she did in Desamuduru.
And last but definitely not the least-NTR is the toast of the film. This being the first film of his that I’ve watched, it’s been an awesome experience. He’s an absolutely great actor, a stupendous dancer and a good comedian. To top it all, he’s enticing in his new look.
SO all you guys who have any misconceptions about watching this movie, brush them aside and GO FOR IT!! (You’ll never regret your decision- Young Yama nijanga iragesadu)

Ravi Teja and Anushka paired together in Vikramarkudu. The film was a big hit and their pair is considered as hot. The lucky team are now joining in Suresh Productions' next film to be produced by Suresh Babu. "Kalisundam Raa" fame Uday Shankar will direct them. Presently discussions are going on and it will be launched very soon.
Anushka is now shooting for "Arundhathi", while Ravi Teja is acting in director VV Vinayak's film.
RP Patnaik's Andamaina Manasulo
He has many facets. RP Patnaik wore many caps earlier as actor, singer and music director. Added to these, he is all set to turn director. His first movie as director is going to be launched in two days. It is titled "Andamaina Manasulo..".

Dhee 150 Days gala on Sep 8th
Vishnu established as hero with the success of "Dhee". So he is going to celebrate this special moment in grand manner. Dhee's 150 days gala will be held at Lalitha Kala Thoranam, Public Gardens, Hyderabad on September 08, 2007.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Teja is making debut with “Chirutha”. The film is in the final stages of shooting. Even as the film under the shooting, work for his second film is going on. Fresh from the success of “Yamadonga”, star director Rajamouli is currently holding ‘script sessions’ to come up with an interesting storyline for Ram Charan Teja. The film is to be produced by Allu Aravind under the Geeta Arts banner.
It will begin shooting from November. A new heroine will be introduced opposite Charan Teja. Keeravani is composing the music.
Big Stars attend Akula Shiva’s marriage
Film Writer Akula Shiva married Keerthi on Saturday (September 1 2007) in Hyderabad. It was an arranged marriage. Big stars like Pawan Kalyan, Venkatesh and Ravi Teja attended the wedding ceremony and wished the newly wed couple. Directors VV Vinayak and Trivikram Srinvas and other film personalities too attended.
Akula Shiva is the writer behind the blockbuster “Lakshmi”. He is also writing for VV Vinayak and Ravi Teja’s present movie.

Ram Gopal Varma has recently released his “Aag” in Telugu as “Aggi”. Next month another movie of his will be hitting Telugu screens. Efforts are to release his new movie, “Darling”, in Telugu. The film stars Esha Deol and Fardeen Khan and is directed by Ram Gopal Varma.

Comedian Ali is acting as hero in “Thinnamma..Padukunnama..Tellarinda”. It has completed the talkie part in a record short time. Only two songs are remained to be canned. Jyothi Krishna and Teja Sri are paired opposite Ali. It is a comedy film. SS Rao is producing, while Ram Kumar is directing the movie. It is a story about a vagabond turning good man in the end.

Gossip: Pawan Kalyan Separated From His Child!
Pawan Kalyan is found depressed with the legal battle his erstwhile wife is waging with him. Though his present star wife is trying her best to comfort him, he is inconsolable.
His only son Akira, always loves his company. The elders in his family apprehend whether the depressed mood will have an adverse impact on the child. So he is now temporarily separated from his son.

Is Devi Insecure About Mamatha Mohandas?
Rumors are there that Devi Sri is not too happy with her present love interest Mamtha working with certain co-stars.

One of the co-directors of the "Homam" confirms Devi Sri's presence on location.
But they are not ready to accept their relationship. It is rumored that Devi's mentor role is the reason for lots of opportunities in acting and singing for Mamtha.
Puri's Neck on the Chopping Block?
Chirutha release has been postponed once again. Reason? Chiranjeevi wants to personally supervise the pre-release publicity.
And the one man who is most anxious about the fate of Chirutha, of all people, is director Puri Jagannath. He has done his best, but still some doubts linger. There was news that he did not have a completely free hand in direction and that there was some interference (Darsakathna Paryavekhshana!). The re-shooting of some sequences once again in Bangkok is just one example.
Now Puri is in an unenviable position. His position is like – 'Heads you win, tails I lose' or if the film is a hit, then all credit goes to Ram Charan and if the film does not do well for any reason, then all blame is put at Puri Jagannath's door.
So Puri must be praying really hard, more than Chiranjeeevi and Ram Charan Tej, for the success of the film.
Nagma: Lonely and Looking For Love!
The tinsel town's most sensuous damsel has candidly admitted that she is single and eager to mingle. Nagma, The girl now a super star in Bhojpuri films may be the fantasy of many men, but there is no man in her life. This frank admission came from the actress herself in chitchat.
To a question on whether she was seeking love in her life, the beautiful lady has who stolen hearts of youth in Telugu and Tamil movies said: "I want to seek love! Lots of love…I am talking about love from a man."
When we further probed and asked if she wanted to share any of her lonely moments, Nagma said: "There are lots of lonely moments. I am alone. I live alone in the city. Family is not with me. It gets excruciating being lonely."
"I wanted to be married like my sister Jyothika and want to have a great family life" she added talking in trivial grounds. When asked, why she is not finding the right guy, Nagma joked that she has a 'clinical disorder' (about switching relation ships.)
We appreciate Nagma's honesty and the boldness with which she has made her place in movie world.
Genelia: A 'Loser in Love'!
Hot belle Genelia is a self-confessed 'loser in love'.
Genelia has had her share of heartaches in life. But the lissome actress says every relationship gone wrong has taught her and given her strength to be somebody in life.
Of late, Genelia has been linked with her Tamil co-star Bharat. Some reports have even gone to the length of alleging that Genelia is in a live-in relationship with Bharat.
The Bommarillu girl denies these rumors, saying that Bharat 's family is extremely close to her family. Genelia also clarifies that Bharat is just a friend and she has never stayed at his place, so the question of a live-in relationship does not arise at all.
However, according to her close friends, Genelia did admit that she has burnt her fingers in love. She also admitted that she is a very possessive and passionate person.
"I was in love once, but I'm not in love with anybody now. I am a loser in love… but the pain in my heart has helped me achieve what I wanted – to be an actress!" Genelia is quoted as saying.

Asin Asks Big Money For a Small Role
Asin seems to have become pricey ever since she signed her first Bollywood movie that is a remake of Gajani.
While Asin's high-headedness is not something new, she has been on a high pedestal since she signed Bollywood movie along with ace actor Amirkhan. Having clinched such a big project, Asin has been making quite unreasonable demands for her acting fee in southern films.
She is reported to have charged a hefty sum for her marginal role in Nag's DON.
But nothing comes close to the money she demanded from the makers of DON for just a small cameo in the film.
Director Lawrence had approached Asin with the offer of just a one-scene appearance at the movie's end. Asin was not even required to shoot for an entire day. An hour's shooting at the most would have been enough to shoot her scene with Nagarjuna.
For this cameo appearance, they had an offer of Rs 10 lakh for Asin. But the busty babe gave the director a shock of his life by demanding Rs 50 lakhs.
Even producer Nag was stunned because even the collective payment to the movie's heroines doesn't come anywhere close to the sum quoted by Asin.
And when producer cum hero Nagarjuna heard about Asin's demand, he had a hearty laugh. The cameo is going to be completed with one more actress from Mallu land-may be Nayantara!.
Buzz: Actress's Bathroom CDs In Koti Market
It is said that Monica Bedi was shot in video while taking bath in the prison. A few national news channels have show those bits and traces of that video as well. Since that's abused by many, the channels have stopped rolling them.
But there is fresh information in air that the CDs are now being sold out illegally by the road side CD vendors in Koti Market. It was also said that they were made prints and being sold out in gray market. But when greatandhra.com bureau made an attempt to investigate on this, the CDs weren't found any where.
The CDs were sold in similar way when a few alleged news bits were out earlier that a heroine was shot while bathing in her hotel room etc. Anyway, there should be thorough check on this and the moral policing should be maintained. Only sudden checking by police in civil dress would curb those acts.

Happy Days on 21 September
Sekhar Kammula’s college flick Happy Days is going to release on 21 September. The music scored by Mickey J Meyer is already a big success. Sekhar introduced 7 fresh faces with this film. Sekhar Kammula is releasing on his own in Nizam and Uttarandhra. Dil Raju bought the film for Andhra area. They are planning to release more number of prints in A centers as the film is aimed at college crowds.
NTR plays Kranthi in Kanthri
NTR’s character name in in his next film Kanthri is Kranthi. All you got to do is change the location of r in Kranthi to get Kanthri. Hankika Motwani (Desa Muduru fame) and Jiah Khan (Nishabh fame) are doing female leads. Mehar Ramesh makes his debut as director in Telugu with this film. How Simran's Hot 2nd Innings Going On?
Simran has been the darling of many hearts through out her career. There were lakhs of fans for her in AP and Tamilnadu. After starting her second innings she booked for Balakrishna's 'Okka Magadu', Kalyan Ram's 'Vijayadasami', Krishna Bhagawan's 'John Appa Rao 40 Plus' and a Malayalam film 'Heart Beats'.
Out of all these, the film 'Heart Beats' was released and that didn't bring any break for her but the producers are at loss. The film is in news as Simran sued the producers for Rs 20 Cr for showing her as Aids patient without her knowledge.

Parineetha girl Vidya Balan shares her childhood and admits that she was a lazy babe those days.
"I used to demand for some food as soon as I wake up in the morning. I never touched any book for past time. I never used to play with children of my age as past time. Even though my mother used to push me outside, I would come back and sleep within a couple of minutes. I never used to participate in mass drill in school. I used to bunk that somehow. I also used to tell lies stating that doctor asked me not to play due to health reasons", said Vidya Balan.
She added, "But now I changed completely. I'm also sweating during dance practice".
