Reel Talk: Suneetha's Dubbing For Genelia

Singer Suneetha has freshly given her dubbing voice for Genelia for the film 'Mister Medhavi'. The Post Production activities of the film are going on at swift pace and now the dubbing and mixing activity is going on. Genelia is not comfortable with Telugu like Charmy who learnt very fast.

Sources said that although director Neelakanta thought to make Genelia give her own dubbing, he delayed the idea and took the help of Suneetha as Goan girl Genny is yet to go comfortable with Telugu diction.

Raja is playing lead role in the film and Neelakanta is now coming up with a film that appeals for all segments of audiences including class, mass and youth.

Screen Buzz: Genelia Refuses to Expose!

Actress Genelia has turned down a Bollywood movie offer because she was required to expose more than she is comfortable with.

Genelia's acting career has been on the rise ever since her award winning (as best actress) performance in Dil Raju's movie 'Bommarillu'. Today she is having handful of offers from south. But the girl who did a couple of films in Hindi always wanted to make a mark in Bollywood too.

One of the Bollywood Filmmakers had recently approached Genelia for a role in his movie. The film has Tushar Kapoor in the lead role.

Although Genelia liked the movie's script, she was not comfortable about the fact that her role in the film required her to expose a great deal. Genelia says she doesn't mind exposing to a certain limit, but the exposure that her role in that movie demanded would certainly have made her "very uncomfortable".

In Genelia's words, if she were uncomfortable in playing her role then it would show in her acting performance in the film.

So the actress politely turned down the Bollywood offer. In coming days, Genelia will be seen in films like Mister Medhavi with Raja and one more untitled film with Ram.

Genelia: A 'Loser in Love'!

Hot belle Genelia is a self-confessed 'loser in love'.

Genelia has had her share of heartaches in life. But the lissome actress says every relationship gone wrong has taught her and given her strength to be somebody in life.

Of late, Genelia has been linked with her Tamil co-star Bharat. Some reports have even gone to the length of alleging that Genelia is in a live-in relationship with Bharat.

The Bommarillu girl denies these rumors, saying that Bharat 's family is extremely close to her family. Genelia also clarifies that Bharat is just a friend and she has never stayed at his place, so the question of a live-in relationship does not arise at all.

However, according to her close friends, Genelia did admit that she has burnt her fingers in love. She also admitted that she is a very possessive and passionate person.

"I was in love once, but I'm not in love with anybody now. I am a loser in love… but the pain in my heart has helped me achieve what I wanted – to be an actress!" Genelia is quoted as saying.

Genelia has completed Nelakanta's 'Mr Medhavi' with Raja.

Screen Buzz: Genelia wants more money!

Genelia's time is good. So her remuneration is also going to be good. Her films 'Bommarillu' and 'Dhee' proved to be hits successively.

However, the girl has reportedly started making big demands - both for roles and money. It is said that she has started asking for more footage for her character.

At present she is working in only one film, Mr Medhavi, where she appears on the screen for a long time. Neelakanta is directing the film where she is paired opposite Raja.

Genelia was also supposed to do a Vishnu film, but the Vishnu- Vijayabhaskar project is no longer in news. It was reported that she also signed a Seenu Vytla-Ram combination film, but was replaced by Hansika.

Let the star not forget that one who asks for too much soon becomes history in this competitive industry.

Buzz: Genelia-Bharath's Love Gone Sour?

It seems there is trouble in tinsel town lover's paradise. It happened to hottest couple Simbu-Nayanatara then Sumant-Kamalini and now it is newest Jodi of southern film world who is facing rough weather.

Guess who has juiciest break-up at the moment? It is Genelia and her Boys co-star Barath. According to sources the pair who did Chennai Kadaal recently signed few more movies together. All is going well. But we heard that the duo had their first lovers' tiff. They didn't talk to each other for a few days. But common friends want them back together. They said the love birds are madly in love and much in love all over again.

But the duo brushed up all these things and said something else "we are just good friends and there is no love angle in our relationship".

Buzz: Genelia Leading the Chaos on Sets!

Genelia now has enough work to throw tantrums on the sets. Or at least that's what it looks like. With two consecutive hits "Bommarillu" and 'Dhee", she started throwing tantrums. It is know secret that once fame goes in to star's heads they behave like that.

She is currently acting in a film opposite a young hero. It is learned that she has been crabby on the sets. Sometimes she just doesn't turn up for the shoot.

"She is rude and throws tantrums. The production team is having a tough time rescheduling timings and reworking," revealed a source. The actress mother said in her daughter defense: "we had informed the team beforehand that she will not be able to devote much time to them."
Another source confirmed what she said was true. But that still doesn't explain Genelia's rude behavior, does it?

Ileana D’cruz

Shriya’s being asset is her ability to effortlessly switch from playing the desi kudi in Awarapan to a modern babe matching moves with Rajnikanth in Sivaji. No wonder that Shriya Saran is on every filmmaker’s must-have list these days.

Expert comment: Kala says Shriya is one of her faves. “She’s extremely talented, dedicated and is very graceful. Shriya’s a trained Kathak dancer, so it’s a pleasure watching her dance. She’ll go a long way.”

Nayanthara
If she’d pursued her ambition of becoming a chartered accountant, she’d have been the best-looking CA around! And now Diana Kurien aka Nayanthara rocks the glam world of southern films. The actress has come a long way from playing pavadaisporting village belle to uber chic gal.

She’s one of the first contemporary heroines to star alongside Rajnikanth and do two films, Chandramukhi and Sivaji, with the superstar. Ghajini propelled her into a different league and upped her market value. Nayanthara had the most releases among southern heroines in 2006 and she commands big openings for her films.

Rumoured price: Rs 45 lakh. Coming up: Yaaradi Nee Mohini with Dhanush, Billa with Ajit and another one with Nagarjuna.

Expert speak: Chandru, trade expert and film publicist, says Nayanthara has great screen presence. “She’s very good-looking and has a fantastic body. She’s also a very good dancer; she is the first heroine to star in a Rajnikanth opening song.”

Trisha
She’s one heroine who’s acted with all the top heroes in both Tamil and Telugu industries — from Vijay and Vikram to Venkatesh and Chiranjeevi.

Trisha’s also one of the few heroines who starred in a Mani Ratnam film in the early stages of her career. A former model, she’s been reigning in both Tamil and Telugu for the past few years.

Rumoured price: Rs 40 lakh. Coming up: Bheema with Vikram and another Prakash Raj production.

Expert take: “She’s a hard worker and a great dancer,” says Kala Master, choreographer and stylist, “Trisha’s a natural and slips into a character effortlessly.”

Asin
She’s been signed for the Hindi remake of Ghajini opposite Aamir Khan. Aamir apparently even ousted Ayesha Takia from the film to cast Asin, who also starred in the Tamil original. The actress, who debuted in Malayalam and is also a top star in Tamil, is well on her way to becoming a sensation in Bollywood now. After all, it’s not every day that Aamir Khan insists he wants a southern heroine in his film!

Rumoured price: Rs 40 lakh. Coming up: Ghajini with Aamir, Vel with Surya and Dasavatharam with Kamal Haasan.

Expert take: Kala finds Asin extremely hardworking. “She’s a perfectionist and even dubs for herself, which is rare among heroines. She had a great voice and is an excellent artiste.”

Genelia
It’s not just the fairness cream ad that put her in the spotlight; the girl-nextdoor tag suits Genelia perfectly. Not surprisingly, this girl is the first choice when it comes to playing teenage heroines. Genelia’s popular for her ‘cute and lively’ image — it fetched the actress her debut, Boys, which made waves at the box-office. All her successive films have seen the actress playing the college-goer in love and they’ve all been hits. Her acting’s very subtle. That coupled with her casual style and attitude is what makes up Genelia’s allure.
