Chiranjeevi Shouldn't Miss Bus, Sorry The Train!
Mega Star Chiranjeevi has great fan following in Andhra region and that is known for all. Adding to that he reserves Nizam rights of his films with him as the collections will be very strong. So he has great fan following in Telengana region too. If the things move on according to second SRC, there would be scope for materializing separate Telangana. That becomes a big chance for Chiru to make his hold in both the states!! For that he needs to come into alliance with KCR.
Now the assumptions are making rounds that Chiranjeevi would carry some interesting decisions along with KCR with respect to capturing Telangana region votes in coming elections. On the other hand he has to assemble his team to hit the mission with broader vision. As the elections are coming up in less than 15 months, it is high time for Chiranjeevi to make up his team and work accordingly. Otherwise he may miss the bus, sorry the train as said by Allu Aravind.
Let us see what happens.

'Yama Donga' Getting Dubbed Into Tamil?
Sourecs say that the film 'Yamadonga' that turned a hit in AP is going to release in Tamilnadu as well as per a gossip. But the Yama sentiment is in big way in Telugu but not in Tamilnadu. NTR is in fact familiar for Tamilians as his film 'Naa Alludu' was released with the title 'Madurai Maappila'. The film was in fact a flop there as well.
Adding to that the funniest part is that the film 'Takkari' is also going to be dubbed into Tamil as per inside sources. It is funny because it was copied from 'Tiruvalaiyadal Arambam', a hit Tamil flick. Nithin is also known for Tamilians with the film 'Kazhugu', a dubbed version of 'Sye'. Now he may be seen again with dubbed Takkari as per grapevine.
We have to see how this dubbings work at Tamil box offices.

Deepika favourite for lead role in 'Robot'
After a dream debut with Bollywood 'Badshaah' Shah Rukh Khan in 'Om Shanti Om', Deepika Padukone appears set to storm the south with a possible role opposite Tamil superstar Rajinikanth in the big-budget film "Robot".
Padukone's name is "on the top of the list of contenders for heroine" in the Rs 100-crore venture by director Shankar, sources in the film production unit here said.
Shankar, who directed last year's runaway hit "Sivaji - The Boss" also starring Rajinikanth, has already teamed up with the style icon and renowned music composer A R Rehman.
The 22-year-old model-turned-actress has received the Star Screen award for "most promising newcomer" and Stardust "Superstar of Tomorrow"" award.
Going by the mantra that actresses make a dent in Kollywood after starring opposite Rajinikanth or Kamal Hassan, the media began the buzz about Deepika acting in "Robot".
The speculation earlier was that Shah Rukh Khan would play the lead in the the film, to be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, before Shankar succeeded in getting the Tamil matinee idol to agree.

Nostalgic 'Happy Days' number one in Telugu cinema
Hyderabad (IANS) "Happy Days" continues to be the top film as it completes 100 days - an incredible feat for a film sans stars. The list of top films is pretty much the same as in the last fortnight.
The top five Telugu films are:
1. "Happy Days" - This film is cruising merrily at the box office. Made without any big stars, it has been able to hold its own in the face of star-studded movies like "Thulasi", "Athidhi" and "Don". Sekhar Kammula has spun a good yarn around college life. Simple, heart-warming and nostalgic "Happy Days" is a good trip down memory lane.
The seven new faces and Tamanna, who is the only one to have done movies before, have made their presence felt and are now on their way to getting a foothold in Telugu cinema. The movie has raked in a lot of moolah and ushered in Telugu film industry's corporatisation.
2. "Mantra" - The whodunit film starring Charmee and Sivaji is faring well as far as the revenues go. Although suspense thrillers and murder-mysteries are not common in Telugu films, "Mantra" and "Anasuya" have shown that this genre goes down well with the audience if the film is made well.
3. "Anasuya" - Bhumika Chawla steals the show in the title role in "Anasuya". Playing a TV journo, Bhumika displays good acting skills. She portrays the right kind of emotions in the film. Ravi Babu, who is also the director, is good as the villain. This 'edge-of-the-seat' 'noir'-like thriller directed by Ravi Babu has got critical acclaim (it's technically slick albeit a bit dark in terms of lighting) and is faring well.
4. "Don" - Nagarjuna's only release this year has been at the receiving end in terms of reviews. Reports on the film's performance are not too favourable but Nagarjuna's fans will surely keep it going. Raghava Lawrence wears many hats - as director, actor, choreographer and music composer. Perhaps this was a bit too much on the plate to do full justice. Generally, most star-studded films run for the first few weeks and perhaps the initial curiosity to see it will attract crowds. One has to see how long it runs.
5. "Thulasi" - It continues to be in the reckoning even after it crosses 50 days. Child star Atulith gives an endearing performance despite the large dose of violence. Venkatesh returns to action with the movie, which is filled with commercial elements. A stereotypical story with a lot of violence thrown in with a bit of romance, sentiments and enough songs and dances and a sizzling item number by Shriya seems to have found favour.
Nayantara is paired with Venkatesh and she dons some glamorous outfits in the first half of the movie. She has a fairly substantial role.

'Akash Ganga' closing in on 'Happy Days' on music charts
The top five Telugu songs are:
1. "Happy Days" - Film: "Happy Days" - This title song of has a nice symphonic feel. Mickey Meyer has scored a grand composition.
2. "Akash Ganga" - Film: "Vaana" - Karthik renders this tuneful song composed by Kamalakar. The Kannada touch is quite evident in the song as "Vaana" is the Telugu remake of Kannada film "Mungaru Male". It has a yesteryear feel in terms of melody.
3. "Maha Maha" - Film: "Mantra" - A typical Western techno number with an interesting beat, the song is sung by Madhumita and Noelsen.
4. "Intha Andanga Unnave" - Film: "Don" - Lawrence Raghavendra, who has directed, choreographed and acted in the film, wears the hat of a music director for the first time in "Don". A simple song sung by Harish Raghavendra extolling the beauty of the heroine, it's just an average composition.
5. "Nee Kallathoti" - Film: "Thulasi" - Sagar and Chitra croon this rather melodious number. Set to tune by Devisri Prasad, the song has a slow tempo and a slightly classical feel to it.

Mayawati's Gun Pointed Jayaprada Instead Of Chiru
Neither she nor the BSP requires the support of the film industry to sustain in Uttar Pradesh. The only film industry personality she is fully acquainted with is none other than Andhra Pradesh's Jayaprada. She is now the MP from Uttar Pradesh. But here too, the problem is that Jayaprada is from BSP's enemy Samajwadi Party.
Moreover, Mayawati has no stakes in Andhra Pradesh. Except for a brief political appearance now and then in Hyderabad, Mayawati has no interest in Andhra Pradesh. She came to Hyderabad for the public meeting only to keep her flocks together. She is fully aware that the BSP will never form a government at the Centre on the strength of votes it gets in Andhra Pradesh.
Political observers feel that Mayawati's statement was more directed against Jayaprada rather than Chiranjeevi. For, Jayaprada is a crowd-puller in Uttar Pradesh.

'Dasari Is A Venomous Snake'-Posani! Beware
"Dasari Narayana Rao is like a venomous snake. He is very dangerous. We don't know if Snake really holds 'paga' (wish to take vengeance) but Dasari will certainly take his 'paga' on the people who turn against him. He only looks out for right time. Dasari has been keeping ANR at bay from the past 15 years without talking to him as he talked against him in an occasion. Hence while giving ANR award for Shabana Azmi recently, Dasari called for another attractive meeting for journalists. Obviously media journalists went to Dasari's meeting and didn't cover ANR award function. Dasari's intentions go that way. Posani will certainly eat his cake for keeping a tiff with Dasari", said a film personality in Film Nagar last night.
Let us see if that really turns out to be true.

Is Chiru ready to pay 50k crores?

For some weeks mega star Chiranjivi is hitting the headlines of many Telugu dailies. As each day passes by, Chiru's speculated entry into state politics is getting quite intense driving many politicians crazy.
What started as a game of speculation between many local news channels is actually assuming some serious political consideration given the actor's own game of wait and see.
Whether Chiru actually takes the holy plunge into the dirty politics or not it has some how made the winter of deccan plateau quite hot.
Off late, it has been the turn of all and sundry to script their own foreseeable action scenes on the political screen.
Disgruntled congressmen who could not fill enough of their purses in the mega projects the Chief Minister has initiated in the last three and half years of his rule are now trying their mega best to annoy their high command by making the mega star a Chief Minister designate even before he has set his sights on the ballot box.
The plight of telugu tamullu in the Telugu Desam Party is even more pathetic. Confronted with Telangana sentiment, party rank and file all over the state are increasingly getting polarized on the separation issue. Surely, with the possible entry of coastal boy Chiru the shelf life of their party is likely to expire even before the T-State is announced.
The baby elephant in Andhra wished to grow as big as its mom in theUP state, but Chiru's chilipi cum chinna tammudu has played the spoilsport for the mega dreams of the mega sister. behenji Mayawati annoyed with such chilipi tantrums has not spared the rod on her little brothers for playing truant with her. Hence her outburst shunning the naach gaane wale actor brothers as being unfit for public service.
For the lotus party, the waiting in the murky waters seems to be unending saga. The mega star still seems a mystery. However, for TRS chief, it is like waiting to see which side of the bread chiru is going to butter. Left Parties, having been dreaming since a long time for a third front, Chiru own rylu bandi could once again prove just a day dream best left behind.
Having said so much about the established political parties, lets see what it costs the mega star to gain his entry ticket. A political kitten called T G Venkatesh, of rayalaseema iykya vedika, well known for his obsessive opposition to T-State is now demanding from the mega star Chiranjivi to pay a compensation of Rs.Fifty thousand Crores to seema for actively considering joining politics which could potentially break up the united state of Andhra Pradesh.

'Pallikoodam' Tears Flooded In Hyderabad Multiplex
The film started. The movie gained momentum. Entire audience turned pin drop with silence. The people who know Tamil immersed totally. And the remaining people didn't turn their eyes from the sub titles even for a second. The screen pulled the attention of audiences completely. It turned a mass hypnotism. People laughed loudly for humor, wept silently for emotions, shed tears of happiness for watching a wonderful movie in life time. As the titles started rolling at the end of the movie people ran towards Thangar Bachchan for autographs and photographs. A few people tried to hug him as well. Thangar Bachchan pulled the hearts of everyone with his wonderful direction and marvelous on-screen performance.
Telugu people shouted, "Manavaallu chaala nerchukovaali. Edi padithey theeseyyadam kaadu. Pallikoodam andaru Telugu directors ki choopinchaali".
"It's true movie. It runs for a year if releases in Telugu", said another emotional viewer clearing his tears.
When asked if the film is a tragedy looking at the tear shedding audiences they said, "No! It's a wonderful emotional comedy. Our tears are of happiness for watching a great movie. We thank Hyderabad Film Festival people for showing such a great master piece for us".
When greatandhra.com bureau asked Thangar Bachchan about the idea of releasing the film in Telugu he said, "I'm looking out for right producer".
Let us see who bags the offer!!!

Over-Active TV Artiste Made A Photographer
He is known for comedy roles and seldom appears in movies as well with guest appearances.
He made his presence in Film Festivals to impress a few directors who come there and bag a few roles in their coming flick-be it any language. He kept on meeting the directors with a formal shake hand and a smile. No sooner he is starting to talk to them some film buff is giving a camera to him and requesting him to click one. Ashok Kumar appears like Rakesh Roshan with clean shaved shining bald head. He is trying to give build-up as an affluent and busy film actor to directors but the people around him are simply making him a photographer by putting their cameras in his hands. Embarrassed Ashok Kumar has no other way than clicking the cameras. Things are very difficult in film industry to push individually. There must be some people behind to bring in some aura for the aspirant. Ashok Kumar should learn this and bring at least 10 people along with him while getting introduced to any. But poor Ashok Kumar has no such option. One needs delegate pass to step into Film Festivals!! Influence is required to get that.

Carry Amrutanjan While Going To Apadamokkulaadu
Posani is trying to push his 'Apadamokkulavadu'. The more he is pushing, more the bad name he is bagging. Let us see what the people in Hyderabad talk from theatres.
"Carry Amruthanjan while going to Apadamokkulavadu. The film is unbearable. We came to theaters assuming there is something related to Chiranjeevi. But there is nothing but nonsense. I curse myself by getting carried away by Posani's statement against Dasari last night", says Suresh Kumar, an audience at a theatre in Hyderabad.
"Amruthanjan is not enough. Consuming two pegs would be ideal. Otherwise it is difficult to withstand the hammering", said another viewer standing by the side.
"Entire film industry should make it a point to prevent Posani from making films. He is good dialogue writer in past. But what happened now? I turned his fan after watching 'Pelli Chesukundam'. He penned dialogues for that film. But now he turned sadist. He should retire now or consult at least 100 people before starting work on his script", said another.
That is the feedback Posani is getting for his 'Apadamokkulavadu' after he came out with a controversy by alleging Dasari as the man behind stopping the release of the movie.

Snippet: Change of Title for Teja's Flick
The new name for the film is 'Vastaadu Naa Raju' replacing 'Nuvve Naa Hero…Andi O Ammayi', while the official announcement is yet to be made, this looks like the sure one. The film will mark the launch of Sumanth Ashwin into filmdom and the search for the correct heroine is still on.
It is true that that the title 'Nuvve Naa Hero' caught the attention of many. But the straight reason for changing the title is not known. In fact, the title 'Vastaadu Naa Raju' is also an old one conceived by Teja.

Bubbly Raasi Lost Rs 50 Lkah and Acting Again
Raasi, the actress, lost a whopping Rs 50 lakh investing on a movie 'Maharajasri' that evaporated within days of release. Raasi invested such big sum believing in the talent of her husband SS Nivas.
But things didn't go according to her wishes. The film flopped and Raasi is now bankrupted. She is now getting ready to do any kind of role that suits her body. Raasi had put on lot of weight and now looking obese. She is planning to earn big before she loses scope to act completely. Hence she is trying to recharge her old friends in the industry by making phone calls and visiting in person to find new roles in movies. Had she been with that old voluptuous figure, things would have been different. But now as she turned obese, film makers are also thinking twice to consider her.
Above all, she is no way ready to act for free. Her expectations are big being a former heroine. So we have to see when she earns the figure she is expecting.

Feature: Telugu Man's International Flag For Cinema
This is not the flag of a single nation but of entire world Cinema. It's designed by N Gopala Krishna, a producer, director and writer and also the present Editor of 'Journal-AP Film Chamber of Commerce'.
Gopalakrishna is better known as 'Lakshmana Rekha' Gopala Krishna. Lakshamana Rekha was the film directed by him which happened to be the first film of Jayasudha.
Coming to the flag, it's a point to feel proud by every Telugu speaking individual first. It was Pingali Venkayya who designed the National Flag of India almost a century ago. Now it is again N Gopala Krishna, a Telugu man, whose flag is in the process of accreditation to hoist on every film theatre, studio and lab in entire world. That sounds to be Herculean but that is what happening behind the screens. Top Tollywood celebrities are now pushing this flag through Hyderabad Film Festivals and we may soon see this as a unique flag for entire Film Fraternity.
Gopalakrishna says: "'Red' stands for production. 'Red' symbolizes dynamism and production requires the same. 'Yellow' stands for friendship and distributors prove successful only with friendly terms between the producers and exhibitors. 'Blue' stands for purity and bliss and that is the epitome of 'exhibition'. And the 'Film Reel In A Spool' at the center stands as a symbol for entire 24 frames of film making".
Let us see when this flag can become universal.

Reel Buzz: Two Hot Ladies With Rajni Kanth
With the news that the mega project 'Robot' is on, the entire media is abuzz with activity and it is heard that the makers are looking at roping in not one but two heroines for the film and the most likely choices would be the Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone and our very own South Indian hottie Nayantara.
While the official announcements are yet to be made, this pair looks quite likely to be alongside superstar Rajnikanth who will be the hero of the film. Will have to see how Shankar brings up this brainchild story of his.
On the other hand Rajni Kanth visited Tirumala to seek blessings of Lord Venkateshwara before getting into the actual job of 'Robot'. And it seems that the time started for us to talk about 'Robot'.

Cheap Tricks To Earn Money Using Chiranjeevi
Earlier he cashed 'Operation Duryodhana' by making controversy with respect to Telangana issue. But that was not intentional from his side. The issue broke down with the agitation of Telangana Rashtra Vidyarthi Praishad. As that 'operation' turned successful with that controversy now Posani intended to do controversy by coming on to media against Dasari.
It is indeed true that Dasari objected the release of the film but Posani is using that at right time by coming on to media. Let us see how far Posani cashes with these tricks. Can Posani use Chiru fans for this!
"Posani Krishna Murali is a sadist. He is dangerous in all the ways than being helpful. It's dangerous with him. Chiranjeevi would go to dogs if he encourages making films supporting him. He thinks he supports but that stands out to be venom. This is the worst movie I have ever seen. There is no reference of Chiranjeevi's political entry at all. Two guys chat while reading News Paper and there is a single dialogue in favor of Chiranjeevi in that scene. That's all. Posani is over acting for Chiranjeevi's mileage", says an audience coming out from the theatre.

Buzz: Chiru's Will be a Family Party!
Mega star Chiranjeevi's proposed political party will be nothing more than a "dynastic rule" like that of the Telugu Desam and the Congress. There will be no democratic procedures in the film actor's political party as and when it is announced. To begin with, Chiranjeevi's political party will be led by 1) the film actor himself, 2) his younger brothers, 3) his son and above all 4) his brother-on-law. Since all these five people are from the film industry, they all will participate in the election campaign and in public meetings to popularize the new political party, in case it is formed at all.
The top five positions in Chiranjeevi's party will be occupied by himself, his brothers, his son and his brother-in-law. So anyone who wants to occupy an important position in the new political party will have to be contented with positions down No. 5. If Chiranjeevi wants to keep his son away from politics for the time being, then the outsider, who will be the luckiest one, will have to accept the position No. 5.
And this is precisely the reason why Chiranjeevi is not getting the backing he needed from his own caste leaders or from seasoned politicians. They do not want to play second fiddle (in fact it is the fifth fiddle) to Chiranjeevi. Unless Chiranjeevi announces that he will keep his family away from the new political party, in case he chooses to announce one, there will be no political future for the film star's outfit.
People are already fed up with family rule in the Congress and the Telugu Desam. The TRS leadership is also treading the path of the Congress and KCR has brought his son to succeed him.

Film Rumors: Shriya's Dating With Jesse Metcalfe!

But that's not the story. Apparently, the two are not only shooting for the film but bonding extremely well off-screen too.
If sources are to be believed, the couple has been frequently spotted at night clubs and restaurants. Only a few days back, Shriya was stranded at Frankfurt Airport after her flight was cancelled. Metcalfe, who was also in Germany at that time, went to the Frankfurt Airport to meet her and give her company.
More recently, they were spotted together during the New Year's Eve in Goa. A source close to Shriya reveals, "Metcalfe is totally smitten by Shriya. He finds excuses to meet her. Shriya has realised his liking for her."
Shriya clearly loves all the attention. She also accompanies Jesse to various places in the city as he is a newcomer. Another source from the sets of The Other End Of The Line says, "They are extremely fond of each other and are always together on the sets. They are more than just good friends." Shriya remained unavailable for comment.
A light hearted romantic comedy, The Other End Of The Line is being shot in Mumbai, San Francisco and New York and will release later this year. While Shriya Saran, Tara Sharma and Anupam Kher are some of the notable names Jesse is in the company of Larry Miller ( Kiss Kiss Bang Bang ) and Sara Foster ( The Big Bounce ).

Is Censor Board Sleeping for 'Aapada Mokkulavadu'?
The controversial Posani Krishna Murali's film ' Aapada Mokkulavadu' has released and has caused a terrible experience to the audience. While the film is one bit, the main blame seems to be pointing towards the censor board for letting some of the most vulgar and intolerable screens pass through their certification.
"The hero cutting off the villain's private organ and throwing it in cold storage or the villain taking the heart out of a man using a drilling rod are some such scenes which makes one think how they could imagine the audience would have the heart to watch", says a lady who watched the film as a serendipity.
"Censor board must be sleeping or it might have bribed", said the other after watching the movie.
While films are meant to be more on the entertaining side with decency, it is rather shameful to see something like this happening. Hope the Censor wakes up to this and does something about it.

Did Lawrence's Over-Hyped Statement Come True?
Lawrence made a statement just before the release of 'Don' answering to a question in a very bold manner. When asked if there is any resemblance between Bollywood 'Don' and Nag's 'Don' he said, "There is no resemblance at all. And all Bollywood producers would make line to get the remake rights of this 'Don'".
That is cinematic to listen. But has that statement come true? We all know that. The film has been suffering loss although the producer ML Kumar Choudary tried to pump oxygen into it. Lawrence kept a silent face now and jumping to Tamilnadu to do a Tamil film. Yes, he is pairing up with hot throb Tamil actress Namitha. She has been called the sex bomb shell of South India. The title of the film is 'Paandi'. There is also another top heroine Sneha in it.
We are yet to be informed if he is trying a hand for music for that film as well. So, it takes time for Lawrence to come back from his home till the completion of his part in that film.

Box-Office: Same Old Story Continues
The same old story of thrillers topping the list continues even this week. Let us see the order of films those are making better collections at box office.
1. Mantra:
The film stands on the top with better collections. Although the theaters are not turning housefuls in week days, it is collecting almost 85% with all 4 shows. Charmy's charm pulled the crowds and the quality in the movie did spread positive talk all over. The film sits in position-1 of the toppers list of the week.
2. Anasuya:
The horrified appeal in the movie and Bhoomika's presence turned the vital elements for the success of the movie. It is making better collections and stands as a hit in the career of director-actor Ravi Babu. This crime thriller scores well and stands in position-2 of the toppers list of the week.
3. Don:
The movie is lost but still holding breathe only because of the presence of Nagarjuna. Although the film is made in style it lacked in spirit on a whole. Lawrence's over-action and lack of grip in story line are being discussed as negative aspects of this film. It stands in position-3 of the toppers list of the week.
4. Mee Sreyobhilashi:
The film is pulling class audience to theaters and they are coming up with the expectations by keeping 'Aa Naluguru' as bench mark. But the film is not meeting the expected standards. It sits in position-4 of the toppers list of the week by making just satisfactory collections for the budget it incurred.
5. Happy Days:
The film is still warm despite making 100 days in India shortly. The trendy flick with college background is well-treated in the hands of Sekhar Kammula and the film stood as a success on a whole. The film stands in position-5 of the toppers list of the week and still going ahead with average collections.

Confusion At Hyderabad International Film Festival
The names of directors, language and origin of the film were printed in jumbled manner in the bulletin on 7th of January. Instead of publishing the name of director of the film 'Infinite Justice' as Jamil Dehlavi it was shown Bozidor Nikolic. Instead of conveying a film's origin as Pakistan, it was written 'Serbia'. Such utter confusions in the bulletin are troubling the international delegates.
There is no connection between the column 'Today's Screening Schedule' and the films mentioned with details under the heading 'Today's Highlights'.
No proper check is kept on this and Hyderabad Film Festivals are going on amidst confusion.

Bucknor sacked, Harbhajan can play in Perth Test
Melbourne(IANS) Team India heaved a sigh of relief as controversial West Indies umpire Steve Bucknor will not be officiating while Harbhajan Singh can play in the third Test against Australia in Perth starting Jan 16, the top International Cricket Council (ICC) official announced here Tuesday. In a hurriedly convened press conference at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), ICC chief executive Malcolm Speed said that Billy Bowden of New Zealand would replace West Indies' Bucknor, an Elite Panel umpire. Pakistan's Asad Rauf will join Bowden in Perth.
Speed said that some people would be unhappy with ICC's decision at India's insistence to remove Bucknor.
"I can understand that people will take that view," he said. "It is an extraordinary set of circumstances and we want to take some of the tension out of the situation."
The move comes a day after the Indian cricket board drew the ICC's attention to the horrendous umpiring mistakes that cost India the Sydney Test Sunday.
Umpiring was one of the two issues India were unhappy with following that match, along with the three-Test suspension imposed on off-spinner Harbhajan.
The off-spinner was Sunday suspended for three Tests after he was found guilty of racially abusing Australia's Andrew Symonds in Sydney by allegedly calling him a "monkey".
India have appealed against the ban, and a fresh hearing is to be held.
But Speed could not say when that hearing would be held. He was hopeful it would occur before the next Test, starting Jan 16.
If the hearing on Harbhajan's ban was not held before the start of the third Test, the Indian off-spinner would be eligible for the match in Perth, Speed said. The ICC chief executive was hopeful India's tour would continue, but could not guarantee that.
Speed said the ICC needed to take a "pragmatic view" towards the issue, and needed to be "flexible" to resolve the crisis.
He was confident Bucknor, 61, would umpire again at Test level. Speed said match referee Ranjan Madugalle, the former Sri Lankan captain, would be appointed as a mediator between the Australian and Indian sides.
Meanwhile, a racism hearing against Australian spinner Brad Hogg will also go ahead, after the Indians alleged he called captain Anil Kumble a "bastard" in Sydney. Hogg's hearing will be held some time before the third Test by match referee Mike Procter.
Speed said Procter and an ICC-appointed code of conduct commissioner would re-hear the Harbhajan case, with the witnesses to be called again.

Nayanatara's Bikini Rs 1,00,000 In Auction
The hot wave in Tamilnadu is about the auctioin of Nayantara's bikini. The demand for Nayantara is known for all and her latest hot-portrayal in the movie 'Billa' added glory to her sexy-image. Now the producers of that movie are trying cash up to the maximum with that craze. They have called for auctioning the bikini used by her in the movie 'Billa'. This proves to be the first of its sort in South India to see a heroine's bikini kept for auctioning.
Sources say that that the bikini would bag up to Rs 1 lakh as per expectations. That proves to be really whopping and many other producers also would follow the manner to cash the craze.

Snippet: Ram Gopal Varma's Debut As Actor
Ram Gopal Varma is different in acts, thoughts and speech. He has set his own brand in entire India. He is the star film maker with variety in his style. Varma has been on the top even though he makes duds like 'Aag'. His 'Shiva' and 'Rangeela' cannot be forgotten by public. If he can't deliver a hit, he might get to fall back on acting.
Ram Gopal Verma has been approached by Adeep Singh, who once assisted Vidhu Vinod Chopra, to act in a movie about struggling actors. Ramu will play himself in the film titled Mujhe Ramuji Se Milna hain. It would be interesting indeed to see Ramu on screen as an actor.
While the title suggests that Ramu might play very much himself on screen it will be interesting to see the master's expressions and emotions first hand. Good luck for your new debut Ramu !!!

A youth wing for Chiru even before the party!
"Aloo ledu, choolu ledu, koduku peru Somalingam," goes a Telugu saying. Even before Chiranjeevi formally announced the launch of his political party, some enthusiastic political activists representing various parties have formed into Rashtra Chiranjeevi Yuvata.
The organization got itself registered and the leaders have started bombarding the media offices with statements, criticizing the critics of Chiranjeevi. For instance, the Chiranjeevi Yuvata leaders took strong objection to the comments of Roads and Buildings Minister T Jeevan Reddy against Chiranjeevi's plans to enter politics. In a statement, the organization vice president Sreeramula Suresh, state executive member M Navin Kumar, town unit president G Hari Prasad alleged that the ministers were showing the signs of frustration on the very indications of the proposed entry of Chiranjeevi. They are worried over their fate once Chiranjeevi enters into politics, they alleged. "Politics is not the domain of a few. A will to serve the people is the basic prerequisite in politics", they remarked.
Meanwhile, several leaders are already in the race to join hands with him, with a hope that they would get the party tickets in the next elections.
Several discontented leaders of the main political parties, NRIs and even some officials are making desperate attempts to develop rapport with the actor to test their political fortunes. A few Karimnagar based NRIs who are living in the US also called on the actor recently with an offer to muster support for him overseas.

Udaya Bhanu Seduced Showing Her Sexy Oomph
Udaya Bhanu is worth enough to do item songs as frequently as possible. She has the necessary oomph factor and lecherous looks to be in tune with item songs, say the people those watched the film 'Apadamokkulavadu'. She danced for the song 'Tiduthondayya Naa Vayasu Thidothondayya' wearing sexiest saris and that turned a treat for mass audiences. We have to see if the producers and directors consider Udaya Bhanu for item songs from no onwards. She is no way less to routine item dancers and is a very notable face. Above all she is a native Telugu lady who needs push from Tollywood directors.
Let us see if she bags something more down the line.

Unmarried Girls Show Lust For Married Men
"Unmarried young girls show their lust for married men. Married men look hot for them. Hence they go close to married men very fast". Indeed, we are not saying this. This is the saying of Bollywood actress Amritha Rao who acted with Mahesh Babu in 'Athidhi'.
Actress Amritha Rao seems to be traditional in approach but 'hot and trendy' in outlook and observation. She confirms many things with lot of authenticity. She puts no filter and says her opinions by generalizing.
She also said, "Every girl wishes to end her dating episode with kiss. But men tend to go 'beyond' that. It depends on the girl and also the 'situation' to take decision. It is in fact difficult to end the dating episode with kiss many times".
Is that not a bold talk!!
And saying about herself she says, "If I get attracted to any married man I would certainly control my senses. Who knows? Any other girl may eye on my husband in future. I cannot just imagine that. And another thing to share-I don't know why I tend for old men!"
That's a new angle in Amritha.
Finally she says, "I don't have any boy friend till now. It's really surprising even for me why I didn't have any BF so far. Many girls are finding 'hot' boy friends when they enter 9 th and 10th standards. But I don't know why I don't have one".
Should we believe this? It's at your discretion.

Ravi Babu: 'I Don't Believe In Nativity'
Ravi Babu is on cloud-9 now. And we all know why. That is for the success of 'Anasuya'. He says that he is feeling like a student who passed out exams with distinction after struggling day and night while preparing.
When questioned about the lack of Telugu nativity in his films he clarified in a detailed manner saying, "What is nativity and where is nativity? The globalization happened long back and now entire globe is with similar features. This is the era of internets and chatting. If you think the green fields and 'parikini-oni' as the elements of nativity they are not seen now. The meaning of 'Nativity' changed a lot now".
That's the clear new wave outlook of Ravi Babu that is making him make films with his own conviction that is deep rooted.

Interview with MS Raju

MS Raju is turning into director with Vaana film which is a remake of Kannada blockbuster Mungara Male. Here are the excerpts -What is the reason for remaking Mungara Male?
I really loved it though there are a few stale scenes. We added lot of freshness and changed the screenplay to make Vaana.
Mungara Male had tragic ending?
I am not going to reveal the nature of the climax now. But I can say that the ending of the film is going to be a heart touching one.
Why is MS Raju making a remake film with new comers when he has access to all the big stars of Telugu cinema?
I follow my heart. People commented when I was making Devi film with unknown faces. They commented when I gave Varsham project to the director Sobhan who had a flop record. They commented why I was spending so much on Charminar set for Okkadu film. They commented that Siddhardh was looking like a girl in NVNV. All the projects that got criticisms during the making were hits. Likewise, I hope that this film too is being talked about. I invite criticism and take them all in my stride.
What is the reason for having Teja as director for your son's debut film? Your sensibilities are different from that of Teja?I follow my heart and my gut feelings. I don't do any calculations.
Generally director is the captain of the ship. But you had been the captain of ship for your films?
I do involve in creative aspect of my films. I will be the captain of the ship when I make films with directors like Sobhan and VN Aditya. But when I make films with Kodi, Guna Sekhar and Teja, they are going to be captains of the ship.
Why are you doing remake?
I prefer original films. But Mugara Male is so impressive that I could not resist from remaking it. If you look at Titanic of James Cameroon, he remade it too. And see the results.
What is the budget of Vaana?
I do spend as per the demand of the script. There is no big or small film in my opinion. For example, I wanted the hero introduction to be impressive. Hence we had five sets and Mumbai models for that song. I feel that we should spend money only when it is absolutely necessary. I won't create a slum colony set to make a film when it can actually done in the real slum streets. I did Charminar for Okkadu because it is necessary. I did not have a set of Warangal for Varsham because it was unnecessary.
Tell us about Suman character in this film?

It was a very brave decision to cast Suman in that character. He had never done such kinds of films before. He gave excellent performance in the last 4 reels of the film. He did god roles in Annamayya and Sriramadasu. He also matched Rajnikant with his villainy in Sivaji film. He did extraordinary work in this film.
What is the reason for casting Vinay and Meera Chopra?
The lead roles in this film are driven by characterizations. After watching the film, only characters will be remembered, but not the actors.
We heard that you considered your son Sumanth Ashwin for Vaana film?
Yes. That was true. But later I realized that the hero character should be done by a mature guy, not like a teenage boy like Sumanth Ashwin.
Your previous film Aata got many criticisms?
I feel that we can only make great films once in 3 years. Since we are producing a film every year, we can's expect all the films to be great films. We have to make some run-of-the-mill films. Aata belongs to such a category. It was not a great film, but it was a decent entertainer. It is a standard film, but not a cheap film. I am the first critic of my films. And I invite criticisms for all my films.
This Sankranthi is having four films?
Yes. I want all the films to become hits. Sankranthi season can absorb four hits.
When will your film with Teja go to floors?
Immediately after the release of Vaana film.

Rs 1.25 Cr For 'Anasuya' Satellite Rights
The satellite rights of the film 'Anasuya' were sold at Rs 1.25 Cr as per the reliable sources. And adding to that the film was sold at Rs 50 lakh for Tamil rights. The total budget incurred on the film making was Rs 1.75 Cr. That way the film cleared the investment with satellite and Tamil dubbing rights. So, whatever is being collected at theaters is the sole income of Suresh Productions. Ravi Babu made such a hit with this film and it is said that a total of Rs 8 Cr and above was already collected. So, Anasuya stands out to be real success of the season.
That's due to the variety in the film and making it in complete out-of-trend way with crime and thrilling elements.

MS Narayana and AVS Are Far Better
"MS Narayana and AVS are far better than this Posani Krishna Murali in film direction. I couldn't resist watching the movie. I ran away by interval", said an audience who watched the movie 'Apadamokkulavadu' yesterday evening.
"Wouldn't he watch the film before releasing? Or wouldn't his close fiends advise him to spruce up the film well before bringing it to theaters?" questioned a viewer.
"I wonder if this film was sent to censor. The scenes like cutting down the genitals are very demeaning and horrified", said another viewer at a theater in Hyderabad.
On a whole, the film 'Apadamokkulavadu' is bagging negative talk every where. The film 'Operation Durudhana' ran well as there were no new films at that time. Now big films are coming soon. We have to see how Posani reacts to the situation and pushes his film.

Press meet - Vaana
MS Raju’s directorial debut Vaana will be releasing on 15 January on the eve of Sankranthi. The unit arranged a press meet to share more details about the film. This meet was attended by MS Raju, Paruchuri brothers, Sekhar V Joseph and KV Krishna Reddy.
Okkadu was also released on 15 January - Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao
Speaking on the occasion Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao said, “Vaana audio got amazing response from the public. This year’s Sankranthi is coming on 15th January. We also released Okkadu film on 15 January as Sankranthi fell on that date. Vaana is an extraordinary love story with a feel. We added lot of the humor to Kannada script in order to make the film more entertaining. We shot the most of the film in Shakileshpur which is 5 and half hour journey from Bangalore. That place is known for abundant rain fall. MS Raju is known as Sankranthi Raju and we hope that he will continue that legacy this year too with the stupendous hit of Vaana.”
Climax will make you cry - Paruchuri Gopala KrishnaParuchuri Gopala Krishna said, “Sirivennela penned fabulous lyrics. Kamalakar scored very good music. There are films like Gharana Mogudu and Assembly Rowdy that were remade in Telugu with lots of betterment. These films were better films than originals. Likewise, Vaana is going to be a better film than Kannada original Mungara Male. MS Raju made sure that the last 40 minutes of the film is emotionally gripping. Climax will make you cry.”
We put our lives at stake for Vaana - MS Raju
MS Raju said, “Lots of people have been asking about my directorial venture for years. During the time of Telugu cinema vajrostavalu, I made a resolution to become a director. I happened to see Mugara Male film in Kannada and immensely liked it. But Nukarapu Surya Prakasa Rao was already having the Telugu remake rights with him. When I asked him the rights, he preferred co-production. I would like to thank him for that. As a director, Vaana is not an easy film to make. We worked really hard and put our blood in Prabhas’s Varsham. We had lots of troubles while making that film. We also had problems in editing room. Vaana is more difficult than Varsham from making perspective. We put our lives at stake to make Vaana. I hope that the movie would become a success.”

I cried while editing this film - KV Krishna Reddy
Editor KV Krishna Reddy said, “I had been editing all films of MS Raju since Manasantha Nuvve. I am amazing at the footage of the film. It did not have any extra shot or wastage. Since MS Raju has tremendous grip in all aspects of filmmaking, he know how much he need to shoot. I don’t get emotional while editing films as we do it from our technical perspective. But I cried for the first time while editing this film. I am sure that this film would be loved by everybody.”

Ramoji Rao Advised Chiranjeevi Not To Start Party
This is the news from inside sources that Ramoji Rao talked to Chiranjeevi for quite a long time before the demise of Konidela Venkat Rao. He met him to give an advise for not to start party. He explained all ins and outs for Chiranjeevi and elucidated how he loses if he enters politics now. He said it seems that 2009 would be an year for TDP.
He added, "If you start party now, people get confused and Congress takes advantage of that. Congress is trying to color that the fight will be between only Congress and Chiranjeevi and TDP wouldn't be in priority. By this kind of indoctrination Congress would take an advantage. The ultimate loser will be you".
However, Congress people are openly talking about Chiranjeevi and welcoming his entry stating that the loser will be TDP. Majority of Telugu population is holding the same opinion now.

‘It won’t be a cakewalk for Chiru in politics’

Hyderabad: The Left parties are game to the idea of entry of Chiranjeevi into active politics but refuse to play ball—at least for now—on the likely impact he will create on the political firmament in the state. Both CPM and CPI are of the opinion that it augurs well for the state if more number of parties and players enter the political arena.
However, the leaders of both the parties are not ready to accept that mega star Chiranjeevi - for that matter BSP’s Mayawati - will make inroads into the base of the parties. All they say is people will have a wider choice, and hence they welcome Chiru’s entry. Quoting CPM strongman Prakash Karat, CPM state secretary B V Raghavulu says the next elections will be far more decisive if only the proposed party by Chiranjeevi comes out with a clear-cut ideology, programme and policies.
Refusing to hazard a guess on his party’s stand in case Chiru floats a new party, he said: “It will be premature to comment.” Playing the cards close to his chest, he said the Left parties have always welcomed a third alternative provided the policies and programmes are in tune with the CPM ideology.
“Whatever be the final political scenario, the Left will have a very decisive role to play in the months to come,” he said. The CPM got 1.84 per cent votes in the 2004 assembly elections and won nine out of 14 seats it contested. Joining the issue, CPM floor leader Nomula Narsimhaiah said the Congress due to its anti-poor and anti-farmer policies has landed itself into a difficult situation in this election year. “It will not be a smooth sailing for the Congress this time round,” he says.
Preferring to play it safe, CPI general secretary S Narayana told ‘TOI’ that people were unhappy with the present leadership of the Congress and the TDP, giving rise to the third alternative option. “Though more players — whether it is Chiranjeevi or Mayawati — are welcome, they will not be able to make a dent in the two Left parties,” he admitted.
“We are not expecting any dramatic developments as in 1983 when NTR established TDP and swept to power,” he said. The CPI got 1.55 per cent of the votes in the 2004 poll and won six out of 12 seats it had contested.
The TDP had polled 37.59 per cent as against 38.56 per cent votes received by the Congress. The BSP had polled 1.23 per cent of votes and emerged as the seventh largest party though it had won only one seat, forfeiting in the remaining 159 seats it had contested. However, the BSP had polled more votes.

Chitchat with YVS Chowdary

Tell us about Okka Magaadu? When we announced the project on 9 August 2006, the expectations were humongous worldwide. And we are releasing the film on 11 January 2008. I stayed away from the hype associated with the project and done with dedication and determination. I came to the industry because of my addiction to legend NTR. I learnt the good qualities like working hard, dedication and fighting spirit from NTR only.
Okka Magadu is my seventh directorial venture. MM Keeravani composed the Okka Magaadu song in Tirumala guest house for Seetayya film. This song created a history with good beat, nice choreography and colorful picturization. Okka Magaadu song encapsulates all the qualities a girl looks out in a man. We had legend NTR in our mind while penning lyrics.
I had been having a potential story meant for any hero of god worship with me for a long time. And when Keeravani composed that song, I realized that Okka Magaadu is the right title for the script I had worked for. I registered the title immediately after coming to Hyderabad. When I started developing the scripts, I realized that Bala Krishna is the only hero who could do justice.
I met Bala Krishna during the postproduction time of Devadasu and narrated the script. And it excited him very much and he accepted the project. If he rejected this script, I would have put this subject away forever and went on making films with other scripts because this script is made for 'one and only' Bala Krishna." I worked with Bala Krishna as an assistant director for Pattabhishekam. I was the co-director for Aswamedham film. He is undoubtedly the most handsome hero. He has gone the royal lineage of Nandamuri. He has terrific god-worship image among the fans. These three qualities are required for Okka Magaadu film. I will give the total credit of success of Okka Magaadu film for Bala Krisna only. I feel that technicians are always technicians. We used the image of stars like Bala Krishna to enhance our work. Star heroes channelize our work and thought process and carry them to the masses and there by increase the span of longevity of the films.
Bala Krishna is looking very handsome in Okka Magaadu. What is the secret?

That is how I want to see Bala Krishna on screen. Each director has his own mental vision about how he is going to project his hero. For me Bala Krishna should be presented the way I had done in Okka Magaadu. It came from my thought process and imagination.
Do you have any message in this film?
I opine that the films are primarily meant for entertainment. All my films cater to the movie lovers and I am not the kind of guy who feel that movies should give messages. Even if there are any message, I make sure that they are sugar-coated.
Do you think that Okka Magaadu is going to act as catalyst to the entry of Bala Krishna in politics?
I am a passionate filmmaker. I prepare scripts and make films as per scripts. I made Okka Magaadu as per the demand of the script. I did not deviate from it to have any political angle. The entire film of Okka Magaadu is going to be non-controversial. When we make a film of Okka Magaadu stature, we make sure that it caters to all sectors of audiences.
Why did you take so many days to shoot this film?
Though we went to floors in December 2006, we could shot only three songs in the next four months. We started the talkie shoot in April and completed the entire film by December. We shot the film in many locations like Australia, Malaysia, Rayala Seema, Rajahmundry and Hyderabad. We went to USA for 20 days to consult make-up technicians.
You bought a theater in Gudiwada and showing Okka Magaadu as the inaugural film in it. How do you feel about it?
It is one of the most memorable moments in my life. I was the town president of Gudiwada for NTR fans. Films like Kodanveeti Simham and Sardar Papa Rayudu created records when I was the president. I moved to Chennai at the age of 19 and Gopala Krishna theater was constructed after that. Many of Chiranjeevi's films ran for 100 days in Gopala Krishna. I bought that theater and renovated it. It is the first DTS A/C theater in Gudiwada. It is a thrilling moment for me to release Okka Magaadu film in my own theater as an inaugural film.
How is the response for the audio?
The audio of Okka Magaadu has been liked immensely by all sectors of music lovers.
How is the response for Okka Magaadu in overseas?

All the NRI's perceive Okka Magaadu as a Bala Krishna film made by a director who adulates NTR like a God. And I had been crafting my career graphs in a very respectable way with decent hits. I am like Dravid for Indian cricket team with consistent track record. Hence the expectations are high when our combination film was announced. I am very confident that Okka Magaadu will satisfy all the overseas crowds who have tremendous expectations on this film.
Tell us about make-up for the unrevealed character of Bala Krishna in Okka Magaadu?
Eeswar prepared sketches for Bala Krishna and Simran. We went to USA and met Academy award nominated make-up technician. He assisted us in getting the right make-up done. Bala Krishna used to get up at 3:30 and come to the location. It takes around 4 hours to put on the make-up and one hour to take the make-up off. It was very tedious process and Bala Krishna enthusiastically participated in the shooting with make-up.
Do you think Okka Magaadu is going to create records?
Records are meant to be broken and records are not permanent. Records of a blockbuster were decided on day one or in the first week. I am a passionate filmmaker and I made a good film. I want everybody to appreciate it. I don't make films for records. But if Okka Magaadu breaks records I will be very happy because I came from the grassroots level of a fan.
Dasari said in the audio function that there is a caste based message in the film that targets some popular personality. Is it true? All you guys know me in person. I am not the kind of guy who hurts anybody feelings. I am the one who made the film and I know the dialogues in the film. I can assure that not even a single dialogue in this film is of controversial nature.
If you have to describe Okka Magaadu in one sentence?
Okka Magaadu offers 'South Indian Spicy Meals' to all the audiences.
Tell us about your next film 'Rey' with Ram?
Let the Okka Magaadu release first. I will talk about my next film later.

Behind The Scene: Pawan case is gone case?
It looks like the bigamy case of Pawan Kalyan is going to fizzle out, if one looks at the way the court is deferring the case unendingly.
According to the family sources, Pawan Kalyan is buying peace with his first wife Nandini, since the image of the family is at stake in the wake of his brother Chiranjeevi entering the politics. On the other hand, the police report, too, was manipulated to suit the interests of Pawan Kalyan.
If everything works out well, both will agree for divorce and Pawan Kalyan would pay the required alimony to her. That is the reason why both of them did no turn up at the court, citing different reasons.

Screen Buzz: Is Trisha's Name Also Nandini?
VV Vinayak names his heroine as Nandini in every film. We already said this long back. The name of Keerthi Chawla in 'Adi' is Nandini. The name Nayantara in Yogi is Nandini. The name of Sjriya in Tagore is Nandini. So will Trisha's name in the film 'Krishna' also stands to be 'Nandini'?
The movie is set to release on 12th of this month and the posters are proving to be very promising. The glamour does of Trisha is felt enough and Vinayak says that it is the movie that goes in the backdrop of Vijayawada and Kanakadurga Temple. It's again and action dose in the school of Vinayak. Ravi Teja's portrayal stands strong it seems.
Keeping that everything aside, will Vinayak continue his sentimental name Nandini again? Or will he bring a change? That has to be seen. If he continues, a focus should be kept on real life Nandini in Vinayak's life.

CC Reddy Loses Money and Troubles Film Magazines
There is a talk about CC Reddy in Film circles. Many say that he is very good at heart and encourages new talent in the industry. He also said that he didn't calculate any figures for 'Mee Sreyobhilashi' but simply made it with an intention to make a good movie.
Once he announced Rs 1 lakh publicly for the film 'Ink' that was made by Tanikella Bharani with an idea to encourage new frame of film making. Everything is fine but a few film magazine people say that CC Reddy delays in paying dues when the film flops.
"He loses money intentionally in film making and delays our payments later. We feel uncomfortable to ask him as he stands in loss. It doesn't mean that he skips payment but delays", says a reporter of magazine.
That's the style of CC Reddy!

Rumors: Nayantara Refused Rs 1.5 Cr Offer!
We heard that Ileana touched Rs 1 Cr mark with remuneration by signing on the film on Bellamkonda's banner. Now Nayantara also joined the line. She too touched that fancy figure.
She joins the select band of Indian actresses like – Kareena, Aishwarya Rai, Rani Mukerjee, Preity Zinta, Deepika Padukone (after OSO) who are paid Rs One crore and above.
After Billa, Nayanthara has become a sort of glamour icon, and is the new pin-up girl for the youth audiences. And at the same time she is kicking back a few offers for not meeting the remuneration to her expectations. A top liquor brand has offered her Rs 1.50 crore to do an ad for them, which she has politely refused. So Nayana's figures have changed now. She is expecting Rs 3 Cr and above for Ad contracts!

Dasari wanted to kill the film by pushing it away from this weekend, so that it loses collections. But the producer A Mallikarjuna managed to make arrangements to release it today, i.e on Sunday.
However, thus artificial hype is boosting the public interest on the film.

Rumors: Siddarth-Soha live together now!
Soha Ali Khan couldn’t have been at a happier place at the moment. Not only is she basking in the glory of rave reviews for her performance in Khoya Khoya Chand but her personal life is going great guns too. For the first time she can come out in the open with boyfriend Siddharth, who’s moved base to Mumbai and has settled straight into Soha’s suburban pad.
The two have thrown caution to the wind after Siddharth decided to stand by his woman and let go of his marriage. He’s often seen in the company of Soha’s friends even when she’s out of town, entertaining them and making up for Soha’s absence.
The two work out together; he’s present during her script narrations and even helps her out with home shopping, as the two were recently spotted at a home décor store, picking up knick-knacks for the house. Shopping done, he lugged all the bags to the car and waited with the door open for his ladylove. Could this Rang De Basanti brood get any sweeter?
