Press meet - Vaana

MS Raju’s directorial debut Vaana will be releasing on 15 January on the eve of Sankranthi. The unit arranged a press meet to share more details about the film. This meet was attended by MS Raju, Paruchuri brothers, Sekhar V Joseph and KV Krishna Reddy.

Okkadu was also released on 15 January - Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao
Speaking on the occasion Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao said, “Vaana audio got amazing response from the public. This year’s Sankranthi is coming on 15th January. We also released Okkadu film on 15 January as Sankranthi fell on that date. Vaana is an extraordinary love story with a feel. We added lot of the humor to Kannada script in order to make the film more entertaining. We shot the most of the film in Shakileshpur which is 5 and half hour journey from Bangalore. That place is known for abundant rain fall. MS Raju is known as Sankranthi Raju and we hope that he will continue that legacy this year too with the stupendous hit of Vaana.”

Climax will make you cry - Paruchuri Gopala Krishna
Paruchuri Gopala Krishna said, “Sirivennela penned fabulous lyrics. Kamalakar scored very good music. There are films like Gharana Mogudu and Assembly Rowdy that were remade in Telugu with lots of betterment. These films were better films than originals. Likewise, Vaana is going to be a better film than Kannada original Mungara Male. MS Raju made sure that the last 40 minutes of the film is emotionally gripping. Climax will make you cry.”

We put our lives at stake for Vaana - MS Raju
MS Raju said, “Lots of people have been asking about my directorial venture for years. During the time of Telugu cinema vajrostavalu, I made a resolution to become a director. I happened to see Mugara Male film in Kannada and immensely liked it. But Nukarapu Surya Prakasa Rao was already having the Telugu remake rights with him. When I asked him the rights, he preferred co-production. I would like to thank him for that. As a director, Vaana is not an easy film to make. We worked really hard and put our blood in Prabhas’s Varsham. We had lots of troubles while making that film. We also had problems in editing room. Vaana is more difficult than Varsham from making perspective. We put our lives at stake to make Vaana. I hope that the movie would become a success.”

I cried while editing this film - KV Krishna Reddy
Editor KV Krishna Reddy said, “I had been editing all films of MS Raju since Manasantha Nuvve. I am amazing at the footage of the film. It did not have any extra shot or wastage. Since MS Raju has tremendous grip in all aspects of filmmaking, he know how much he need to shoot. I don’t get emotional while editing films as we do it from our technical perspective. But I cried for the first time while editing this film. I am sure that this film would be loved by everybody.”
