Ram in YVS’s Rey

With Devadasu being one of the biggest hits of last year it is not a surprise that director YVS would want to cast his protégée Ram in his latest venture. After completion of his presently-under-production, Balakrishna starrer Okka Magadu, YVS will start work on his next project, a love story titled as Rey (apparently the short form of the slang word Orey). The weird title belongs to one of the songs of Okka Magadu that YVS believes will become a hit. Incidentally Okka Magadu is also a song from YVS’s previous hit film Seethaiah that starred Hari Krishna in the lead. Newcomer Suhani Kalita, who was in news recently for being the latest heroine of a Bapu film, is being considered for the heroine’s role.

Right now the sources say that Genelia is claiming a remuneration of Rs 35 lakhs.

We have to see if Neelakanta gives Genelia a hatrick.

Behind The Scene: All attack on "Timmarusu"!

The Rededication Day convention of the Congress to celebrate the completion of three years of YS Rajasekhar Reddy government in the State on Monday witnessed an interesting phenemenon: most of the senior Congress leaders who spoke at the meeting found fault with the Chief Minister for depending too much on his advisors K V P Ramachandra Rao for every decision taken by the government.

There have been several complains against the "extra constitutional authority" being displayed by KVP eversince YSR assumed power. The Congress leaders are finding it embarassing to approach KVP for every work or even for petty transfers. His chambers in the D block of Secretariat is more busy than the Chief Minister's peshi and the security for him is as tight as it is for the Chief Minister. It is an open secret that if the matter is referred to KVP, it is obvious that it has got something to do with money bags.

And KVP has the last word with regard to political appointments – may be a Cabinet berth, allotment of portfolio, appointment to Corporations and even settlement of disputes between two groups in the Congress. As M Satyanarayana Rao rightly said KVP for YSR is like "Timmarusu" for Krishna Devarayalu of Vijayanagara empire. "But there are others who can give YSR right advice. He should stop depending on only one person," he suggested.

But YSR is not a person to dump KVP, just because some seniors opposed him. However, it remains to be seen how the high command would react to YSR's adamant attitude!
