Trade Talk: AMAV On Top And Rest In Tension
The talk of the film 'Aata' is dull stating that it is almost like Pawan Kalyan's 'Gudumba Shankar' that was released earlier. This talk is showing ill affect on the collections of the film. Siddartha and Ileana played lead roles in this entertainment flick. The openings of the film are very big and the brand MS Raju worked well. It is said that if the downtrend in collections goes this way the film would end up in troubles.

B Jaya's 'Gundammagari Manadavdu' is not expected to be a well made flick as per collections. It should rely only on B, C centers. The entertainment dose is found little in the film. About 55 to 60 percent of collections were made in first week.

'Sree Mahalakshmi' of Sri Hari has gone dull in collections. It is standing as below average film.

The collections of 'Munna' dropped down in B, C centers drastically.

'Adavari Matalaku Ardhaley Veruley' is the film that stood no:1 now.

Bill proposes 50,000 more H-1B visas every year

Four US lawmakers have introduced a Bill in the Senate proposing to increase the number of H-1B visas by 50,000 annually, raising hopes for Indian professionals seeking jobs in America.

Independent Senator from Connecticut Joseph Lieberman, along with Republican from Nebraska Chuck Hagel, introduced the Skilled Worker Immigration and Fairness Act of 2007 to ensure the US’s innovative industries can hire the workers they need to fuel the country’s economic growth, and to better protect American workers.

The bill was co-sponsored by Senators Maria Cantwell, Democrat from the State of Washington, and George Voinovich, Republican from Ohio.

The Bill would increase the annual allotment of H-1B visas, which provide American employers with access to highly educated foreign professionals in “specialty occupations” those requiring at least a US bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience. The current H-1B cap is 65,000 per year.

The Lieberman-Hagel Bill would increase the cap to 1.15 lakh in 2007 and would add a flexible adjustment mechanism that would enable the cap to rise as high as 180,000, depending on market conditions this ceiling would still be less than the 195,000 limit in 2001-2003.

“Despite dramatic changes to the US economy in the past 17 years, the H-1B cap remains at its 1990 limit of 65,000 per year (an additional 20,000 visas are available for foreign nationals holding US graduate degrees). As a result, thousands of US high-tech jobs today remain unfilled,” Senator Hagel said in a statement.

Gossip: The secret man in Sameera’s life!
Yes, folks, Sameera’s single status is now a thing of the past, if sources are to be believed. The actress has been often spotted in the company of a Mumbai-based industrialist in the last few months, and the two seem to be going steady, says our informant. In fact things may be a little more serious than that. “Both of them seem to be quite serious about the relationship,” says a source close to the actress. “They’ve been seeing each other for the last few months, and enjoy each other’s company a lot. They’re of the same age and they have similar interests, and things just clicked.”

Now before rumour mongers go around claiming that the two are tying the knot already, let us clarify that any such thought is definitely far from Sam and her beau’s mind right now. According to a close friend of the actress, with Sameera’s career going great guns, she would rather concentrate on her work right now and think of settling down when the time is right. For now let’s wish the two lots of lovely moments together, shall we?

Infotech: Master’s from US university may get you green card

Get a master’s degree from a US university and you could be sitting on an immigration goldmine. According to reports, a new US Senate proposal will allow limitless H-1B visas and green cards for foreigners with master’s degrees or higher in any field from an American university — or anyone with such credentials in science, technology, engineering or math fields from abroad.

This week is immigration reform week in the US Congress, as it battles issues like border fencing and temporary worker visas. Like other competing proposals in Congress now, the ‘Skilled Worker Immigration and Fairness Act’, introduced on Tuesday by Senators Joseph Lieberman and Chuck Hagel, also proposes raising the existing annual cap on the controversial H-1B visas from 65,000 to 1,15,000 for fiscal year 2007. That number could climb by 20% in each subsequent year, to as high as 180,000, if the previous year’s quota is exhausted.

Right now, there’s also a 20,000 visa cap beyond the existing H-1B quota for foreigners who have advanced degrees in the US. The new Senate Bill would remove that cap. It would also broaden the exemption from the H-1B limit beyond just those with advanced degrees to include foreigners with ‘medical specialty certification based on post-doctoral training and experience in the United States’. A broad House of Representatives immigration Bill, known as the Strive Act, contains a similar approach.

Commerce minister Kamal Nath has warned of dire consequences if H-1B visas are made a political issue.

In a statement, Lieberman, who may run for President in 2008, said, “To remain competitive, American companies need access to highly educated individuals. But today’s system makes it difficult for innovative employers to recruit and retain highly educated talent, which puts the US at a competitive disadvantage globally.”

The Bill drew applause from Microsoft, whose chairman Bill Gates recently urged Congress again to allow for infinite number of the work permits.

Real Estate: Boom To Hit Again Within 2 Months

Real Estate boom is again hitting the city as per trade surveys.

The speculations were done much before the Karimanagar elections and after that there was a big stand still in the prices. Even now the prices are in that stand still mode where a few selective outskirts is hiking up in negligible measures. And the prominent places like Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills have reduced prices to big extent. Now breaking all this, the boom is hitting again within 2 months.

The separate Telangana news is not in heat now and adding to this, people got immune to that and saying that Hyderabad is Hyderabad be in Andhra or Telangana or a Union Territory.

So, with this slogan, the land rates in Hyderabad are going to get doubled and quadrupled starting from 2 months from now as per observers.

Recently a renowned Club in Chennai called on Reema Sen for dancing on an event floor. She quoted Rs 6.5 lakh for that. Earlier to this Namita danced for the same club at Rs 6 lakh. Well, did you understand now the reason for Reema's quoting that 0.5 more!

Reel Buzz: Gopichand Restarts His Father's School

Gopichand is the son of sensational director T Krishna who made films like 'Repati Pourulu' and 'Pratighatana'. Gopichand is so successful in films with hits like 'Yagnam' and 'Ranam'. Now he is about to hit with 'Lakshyam'. Freshly he shared some personal feelings this way:

Socially Responsible Films:
I love the socially responsible films those were made by my father. But where are the directors to make such films now? There is at least a little social responsibility in 'Yagnam'. Dad used to say it is correct to give message in entertaining format. He made films without ignoring commercial values. I'm ready to act in such movies if directors give me an offer.

In Memory of Dad:
We are organizing social services on every death anniversary of my Dad. We are giving stipends and scholarships to poor students. My immediate goal is to set up my father's school 'Niel Desparado' in new building. Dad gave away the school to others before he was leaving for Chennai. The school was closed after his death. Now I want to restart it.

Marriage:
Time hasn't come
