Gossip: Director Turns Lesbian?
Many rumors on a female Director based at Chennai afloat. She has directed a film, which has become a disaster. She is now crestfallen. Every one in the industry knows she is a boozer and chain smoker. One more curious thing about her personal life is taking rounds. She is a lesbian too. Though she has a hubby, she prefers a female companion in her bedroom, grapevine says. When she was in Hyderabad, a pretty gal accompanied all her stay.
Photo Feature: Can We Believe She Is 59 Now?
Just see this recent photograph taken with Karan Johar, the director with Jaya Bachchan and her daughter Shwetha and Hema Malini and her daughter Isha. Look at Hema Malini. Can we believe she is 59? It's the secret of cosmetic surgery supported by her regular dance practice and Yoga. Is that not inspiring?

Now It's Mummaith's Turn To Irritate EVV!

EVV got into row with another female artiste. As the dust over his tussle with Kamilini Mukherji settled, he had a problem with item gal Mummaith Khan. Though he has created a character called 'Manchala Malleeswari' exclusively for her, he is now planning to replace her with another dancer. He is trying for Mumtaz of 'Gemini' fame. She has made her mark as item gal in Tamil and Hindi films too. Why EVV wanted to change Mummaith? He is keeping it a guarded secret. Sources close to him say, this is because of her adamant attitude. 'Blood rushed head with her instant success', they conclude.

Rajini's New Style in Shivaji....

'Mantra' Will Be Another 'Anukokunda Oka Roju'?

Sources say that the essence in the film 'Anukokunda Oka Roju' and 'Mantra' will be similar. Charmy is acting in the new flick 'Mantra' now. It is stated that the film is about a girl who faces an unexpected incident in life and the narration goes on suspense and thrilling elements. Is it not giving an impression that the film will be something on the lines of 'Anukokunda Oka Roju'?
Charmy is very much attached to the fate of the film with an expectation that it will be successful at box office and critics. Kousha danced for an item song in this film.
Tulasi Ram is directing this film and it is going to complete the shooting part by 13th of this month.
'Creative Star' Becomes 'Rudra' Now
This is a unique approach that the actor followed in recent times. Kiran Teja is an unknown face for people although he acted in the film 'Brahma'. He forcibly made people know about him with News Paper Ads, hoardings and interviews. He titled himself as 'Creative Star' and said that his friends have given that to him. He made the film run for 50 days and that is fine. Now he dragged it till 100 days and making big celebrations. Former Education Minister PV Ranga Rao also had come to this function to felicitate Kiran Teja and film unit.
Now Kiran Teja says that he is going to hit the tinsel town with 'Rudra' as next project. 'The Warrior' is the caption given to that. He said that he is learning skating and horse riding as required for the character in that film.
So after 'Brahma' it's 'Rudra'. We can come to conclusion that 'Rudra' also runs for 100 days for sure with Kiran Teja's 'efforts' in creating artificial hype. That's how his title 'Creative Star' can be justified. What next!!!

Katrina: Salman & I are not getting married

Katrina Kaif is sick of rumours that she is marrying Salman Khan this month.
Katrina says "I can’t stop people from writing what they have decided to. Many actors are not accessible, but I am. Why don’t people call me up before writing things that are not true? All this is nonsense. I am working. I am happy. Let me be. A few days back, 500 people gathered outside Salman’s residence thinking he was marrying you that day.Sometimes people get carried away in excitement."

Impression: Actress 'Matured' At Late Age? Soha Ali Khan is the sister of Saif Ali Khan and daughter of former heroine Sharmila Tagore. She emerged as an actress and Rang De Basanti made her popular.

She shares her personal profile this way:
First Film:

Dil Mange More (Yes! She really got more films after that)

Biggest Asset: Family Background (She seems to be sincere in telling truth)

About Me: I'm able to stay alone now. I'm matured now than before (Matured now! Too late)

What's required in women: Sensuality and innocence (first is ok, why the second?)

Dress Sense: Should suit my body structure (yes she is sensuous)

My philosophy: I always try to make everyone happy (yes she is innocent)

Kiss Scenes: I have no hesitations (fine! Bold enough)

Sameera Reddy: I am not dating anyone

There have been rumours and there have been alleged romantic link-ups of Sameera Reddy, but all of them turned out to be nothing more than fancy canards and gossip. The truth, says Sameera, is that she is still single and waiting for her dream man. “I am single and am on the look out. I have been focusing too much on my work and its high time I had a bit of fun in life. What I feel bad about these days is that when I open a magazine or a tabloid, I see that I am being linked to someone. I am still surprised that even now people bring up the topic of my relationship with Sanjay Gupta. It’s all in the past and I had never really spoken about it in detail to anyone. I haven’t even been in touch with him for long. Also, there is still talk about my ‘affair’ with my Telugu film co-star NTR jr, which was all hearsay. It has turned into a situation where if I see no link-ups about me, then I will think that my career is over,” she laughs.
She adds, “I am busy doing great films. Where do I find the time for all this? I have Abbas-Mustan’s Race and what I love about my part in it, is that my character is mute. Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna and Bipasha Basu also star in it. I have Kamaal Hai with Ashwini Dheer who wrote the comic series, Office-Office. Then there is Buddhadeb Dasgupta’s The Voyeurs. It is about cameras and the fact that everyone’s life has become a sort of public property. I am playing a girl who comes from Behrampur to become an actor. The film shows how she is exploited by the one she trusts the most.”

Posani's Hatred On Jaya Prakasha Narayan
The recent release 'Operation Duryodhana' has shown director Posani's hatred on Jaya Prakash Narayan of Lok Satta directly. A man starts a new party and approaches Paruchuri Gopala Krishna, who is an elderly person in the film. The man says, "Our party comes with new ideology of washing out bad in political parties. In single word to say we aim at Rajakeeya Prakshalana".
Responding to that Paruchuri says in anger, "What the hell are you talking? Do you feel your party is the only party which is pure? How can you start a party saying that other parties are impure and unethical…."
This shows that it's direct hit on Jayaprakash Narayan's 'Lok Satta' and it's the outcome of Posani's hatred on that.
When this scene was rolling on screen a few audiences in the theatre murmured the name of 'Jaya Prakash Narayan'. That's an evidence for public understanding as well.

SC reduces tax on dubbing rights

Hit films dubbed into Telugu have always run house full in theatres in Andhra Pradesh. Now the Supreme Court has further reduced the taxes on dubbing rights, which has made distributors happy.
The apex court has said that the entertainment tax on films dubbed into Telugu should be reduced from 20 per cent to 15 per cent.
After this a Hindi film distributor went to court against discriminatory taxes in Andhra Pradesh.
"Films particularly from English run very well. Like Spiderman, Ghost Rider, Pirates etc. Even Shankar's Aparichutudu and Rajini's Chandramukhi ran for more than 100 days," said Gautam Reddy, Distributor.
For Telugu films, higher taxes on films made in other languages had so far served as a buffer. There was even a proposal to ban dubbed films two months ago because it was felt that dubbed films curb the growth of small budget Telugu movies.
"There will be a employment problem. Atleast 10,000 people are directly dependent and lakhs of people are indirectly dependent on the film industry. There are already starving because of lack of jobs," said T Prasad, Secretary, AP Film Chambers.
Of the 198 movies that released in Telugu last year, 90 were dubbed from other languages. And only five were dubbed from Telugu to other languages.
The notion has always been that Tamil films are more creative than Telugu. But producers here argue that Tamil Nadu charges 50 per cent tax for a Telugu film to be dubbed which explains why more films are imported than exported in Telugu.
The fight against dubbed movies it appears will not be over soon, with the council planning to appeal again.
