Buzz: Shriya denied entry to Sivaji movie

Shriya Saran, the leading lady of ‘Sivaji’, could not manage a ticket to see the film in Chennai!

Rajni-mania is on in full swing — fans on rampage in Malaysia, the superstar’s posters being bathed in milk and all that. But here’s the latest — Shriya Saran, the leading lady of ‘Sivaji’ was turned back from a theatre in Chennai because there were no tickets for her. Shriya, who had gone to the city in the hope of watching the film with hardcore Rajni fans, is stunned by the incident. “I went there so I could watch the film with the rest of the public; I just wanted to see how it feels. First of all the traffic was so bad that I had to get off my car and walk down to the theatre. Finally after I juggled and struggled and reach the place and after all that they shock me by saying ‘No tickets for you Ma’am’.”

Though Shriya is not a superstar, this was something she had never expected. “I met Rajni’s wife and kids at the same place. They just barely escaped a stampede by the fans. It was frustrating but funny,” she laughs.

However, the actor managed to catch a preview of the film before coming back to Mumbai, where she plans to catch the actual movie. “I will be going for it with a couple of friends here and then flying back to Chennai to watch it there,” she adds.
