NBK's daughter's engagement on 24th

Nandmuri Balakrishna's daughter Brahmini will be engaged to Telugu Desam supreme Nara Chandrababu Naidu's son Lokesh on January 24th . No guests are invited for this ceremony. It is completely family affair. The marriage will take place in August. Soon after the engagement NBK and Chandrababu would leave for USA to attend TANA meeting.

Screen Talk: NTR bowled over!

NTR has high regard for director Rajamouli. The actor, who is currently playing the lead in Rajamouli's new film Yamadonga, says, “Rajamouli and I worked together in two films earlier and both did well at the box office," says NTR. "During the shooting of Yamadonga, I have been bowled over by the love and affection of Rajamouli and his wife. Both treat me like their brother. I hope this film will give our combination a hat trick," says NTR.

Hero Gopichand as Ontari

Gopichand's Lakshyam is releasing in the first week of July. In the same week, his new film will begin its regular shooting. The film is titled "Ontari". Pokuri Baburao is producing it on his popular banner – Eetaram Films. Ramana who earlier directed "Pape Pranam"and "Gowri" is directing this film.

Regular shooting commences in Hyderabad in the first week of June.

Shivaji screened for five ministers

Rajnikanth's Shivaji is the hot topic amongst political circles too. On Wednesday (June 20), five ministers saw the film at Prasad Labs, Hyderabad. A special screening was held for the ministers JC Diwakar Reddy, Ponnala Lakshmayya, Geeta Reddy, Kanna Lakshminarayana and Maganti Babu. They said the film is good.

Poonam Bazwa Expresses Love for Raja

Poonam Bazwa says that's he loves Raja for his smiling face that glows bright 24 x 7.

She said, "Working with Raja is an electrifying experience. He smiles all the while 24 hours a day and 7 days week. He never puts himself down or looks dull".

Coming to her next film in South (again Tamil), it is said that Simbhu is roping for his next film and also planning a hot lip kiss scene with her. In fact, his lip kiss with Nayantara created waves in Kollywood during the release of 'Vallavan' (Vallabha in Telugu).

Now we have to see how this Simbhu-Mallika lip kiss works. Obviously works hot, if materializes. Simbhu also said that Mallika agreed for lip kiss proposal.

Kaikala as Jr.NTR's Yama

Srikanth plays an interesting mythological character in this socio fantasy. Shooting of the film is complete except for a couple of songs. Gossip: Venu Madhav To Play 'Gajani'!

Comedian turned hero, Venu Madhav is proved to his best in lampooning popularized roles. He comically imitated the hero role of 'Aparichitudu' in a comedy track and received thunderous applause.

Now he is ready to comically imitate the lead role in 'Gajani' in another comedy track shortly. A script writer prepared the script for the track and gave it to Venu Madhav.

He said he would amply utilize the script in his next film of Venu Madhav who has the habit of suggesting comedy scenes to the directors.

Bellamkonda Happy For Free Publicity

This film is shot in exotic locales of Vizag and Kanya Kumari. This film is produced by Prabhakar G and Mahesh G on Dasami creations banner. Tulsi Kumar directed this film. Another film ‘Hungama in Dubai’ that falls in the genre of Hyderabad Nawabs is releasing on 22 June. This film will be released only in Nizam with limited prints in 10 theaters. Mast Ali & Aziz Janbaaz, Swetha Khanduri play main leads.

Nindu Pournami audio launched

State transport minister Kanna Lakshmi Narayana launched the audio of Nindu Pournami that stars Rajendra Babu and Payal in the main leads. Thota Krishna directs this film. This film is about the effect of full moon on the heroine. First copy is ready. The producer EVN Chari is planning to release the film in the first week of July.

Bahumati Has Full Dose beyond Expectation

Bahumathi is the film that is releasing shortly in the direction of SV Krishna Reddy.

Director SV Krishna Reddy says that he grooved in all the necessary mass and class elements in the film. He asked, "Name one! I'll tell where that is in the film. SVK never said in any Press Meet about his films in this way. So has he crossed the limits now?

Achchi Reddy added saying, "Whatever we expect from SV Krishna Reddy's film that's there in full here".

Screening of 100 classic films on in city

Hyderabad: As part of the 33-day ‘chitra yatra’ film festival, as many as 100 classic films are being screened at the Hari Hara Kala Bhavan in Secunderabad. The festival, which was inaugurated on June 14 to pay homage to film-makers, is on till July 17. Three films, one short/documentary, a world classic and an Indian classic, are being screened every day. The festival, organised by the Drushya Film Foundation, is supported by the state government, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and the Hyderabad Urban Development Authority, a release said.

All the screenings are being held in the evening from 5 pm and 10 pm. The foundation was formed by film enthusiasts-researchers and people form the movie fraternity- to help cultivate a film culture among movie goers, to conduct international, regional, Asian and children’s film festivals, short and documentary film festivals, workshops and seminars on movies and organise film study tours.

The foundation also aims to set up a film archive, a museum, a state-owned film institute, a research centre and video libraries on films. It also plans to take up activities like promoting Telugu cinema, publication of film periodicals and encouraging upcoming film-makers.
