Fact Sheet : Dy Speaker post, a farce!

The elections to Deputy Speaker's post in the Assembly, scheduled to be held on Monday, has proved to be yet another farcical exercise undertaken by Y S Rajasekhar Reddy government.
The Chief Minister, who had dodged the issue of cabinet expansion for nearly three years and taken it up only under tremendous pressure, has chosen a totally inappropriate time to appoint the Deputy Speaker. There was no reason why he delayed the appointment of a Deputy Chief Minister for the Assembly for such a long time. After everybody declined to accept the post for such a short period (hardly two years are left for them to be in the post), YSR managed to convince senior Congress MLA G Kutuhalamma to accept the post, though she was reluctant for it as she was strongly trying for the ministerial berth
Like the chairmen of regional boards, Kutuhalamma will hardly have any job to do. She can at the most chair two budget sessions, two winter sessions and a monsoon session, provided she gets the opportunity. Being a good speaker and a sincere politician, who always takes up issues pertaining to her constituency, she will now have to shut her mouth in the Assembly!

Heroine@Rs 40 Lakhs (Without) & Rs 44 Lakhs (With)

The lead Tollywood heroine is available at Rs 40 lakhs to act in a film and at Rs 44 lakhs to act and to give personal escort for producer and his friends. This is an open secret in Tollywood circles.
The producers those approach her with an idea to book her 'without that' change their mind after talking to her. Almost every producer is booking her for Rs 44 lakh package. The heroine is also very careful and escorts the producers only at affluent gated guest houses and a renowned Star Hotel in Hyderabad.
Sorry, no clues are given for this. This tall beauty is rocketing up with her voluptuous look.

The numbers game the Hyderabad police play

It is quite clear that the Hyderabad city police has acted in a partisan manner. The open street brawl between the family members of chief minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy and former CLP leader P Janardhan Reddy has lowered the prestige of not only the Congress but also the Hyderabad city police.

Police are known to act in partisan manner. It is universally acknowledged truth. But they do it in a secretive manner so that people do not lose faith in them.

However, in this case they took sides with the chief minister's family. Both the family members filed cases against each other.

But the police had acted only on the complaint filed by the chief minister's family. There was no action on the case filed by PJR's family.

And pray tell what is the reason the police are coming out with to explain their strange partisan attitude?

The city police say that YSR's kin filed the complaint at 4.30 pm while PJR's kin filed the complaint at 9.30 pm. The difference is full five hours.

Since the family of YSR has filed the complaint at 4.30 pm, they have acted on this complaint first.

What a logic, my dear khaki men? Even if we go by your logic, you have acted on the 4.30 pm complaint since it was filed first, you should have arrested YSR's family members too, five hours later. Since the time gap between the two complaints is five hours.

If you are sincere in your argument and defence, you should have arrested YSR's family five hours after the arrest of PJR's son and his son-in-law.

This is the new numbers game the Hyderabad police wants to play. And whom are they fooling?

PJR: Book YSR's relatives for murder attempt

Hyderabad(IANS): An Andhra Pradesh Congress leader refused to leave a police station here Monday, demanding that Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy's relatives be booked for attempt to murder, plunging the party in crisis.

MLA P. Janardhan Reddy was also protesting against the arrest of his family members. A court Monday morning sent his son P. Vishnuvardhan Reddy and son-in-law Santosh Reddy to judicial custody for allegedly assaulting the chief minister's brother Y.S. Ravindernath Reddy and nephew Y.S. Sumadhar Reddy Sunday night.

Vishnuvardhan and Santosh, booked for attempt to murder and on four other charges including rioting and criminal intimidation, were produced before a city magistrate and sent to jail till July 20.

Vishnuvardhan, who is also a youth Congress leader, and Santosh were taken to the Chanchalguda Central Jail even as Janardhan Reddy continued his protest at the Jubilee Hills police station.

PJR, as Janardhan Reddy is popularly known, was brought to the police station Sunday night after the clash between his son and the chief minister's kin triggered tension in the area.

All efforts by police officials to persuade him to leave the place have failed. He is insisting that the chief minister's relatives be arrested and for attempt to murder.

On a complaint by PJR's wife, the police have filed cases against the chief minister's brother and nephew but not for attempt to murder. Police have not yet arrested the duo.

While PJR's supporters were prevented by the police from going towards the police station and some of them were even arrested, dissident leaders of the Congress, leaders of other parties, especially those fighting for separate statehood for the Telangana region, have been pouring in to meet him.

The rivalry between Rajasekhara Reddy, who is in the Maldives celebrating his 58th birthday, and PJR took an ugly turn Sunday night as the family members of the two politicians clashed publicly over a petty issue.

The trouble started on a narrow road in the MLA Quarters in the posh Jubilee Hills neighbourhood when the chief minister's brother and nephew, who were returning home in a car, found another car blocking their way.

The car belonged to PJR's son, who was attending a function at his sister's house in the same area. The chief minister's brother Ravindernath blew the horn and that led to an argument between the two sides.

Ravindernath and his son alleged that they were beaten up by PJR's son and son-in-law. Soon PJR and other members of the two families reached there and the two groups nearly came to blows.

Police rushed to the scene and took PJR and his family members to the police station.

While Ravindernath and his son claimed that PJR's son and son-in-law assaulted them, PJR's wife Sulochanamma has lodged a complaint with the police saying that the chief minister's brother and nephew began the fight by abusing them and alleged that they beat her son and son-in-law.

The supporters of Janardhan Reddy also damaged four buses late Sunday.

Janardhan Reddy, who led the Congress party in the state assembly when it was in opposition from 1994 to 1999, is a bitter critic of the chief minister.

PJR, who represents Khairatabad assembly constituency in Hyderabad, has been criticising the style of functioning of the chief minister and opposed certain decisions of the government.

Behind The Scene: 'Drunken Talk' Of IAS Officers!

Around 10 IAS officers, all belonging to a particular community, were the guests of a powerful Congress MP’s lavish dinner a couple of days ago which had liquor freely flowing. In an inebriated condition, the honourable MP started attacking chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and his governance. Caught unawares, all officers, several of them senior and said to be in the good books of YSR, were taken aback by the scathing attack. Before calling it a day around midnight, the senior babus sounded a word of caution to their junior colleagues: do not comment about the party or what transpired there. They even checked the next morning that the diktat given the night before was being followed. Of course the advice was not heeded!

"Richer" Babu to take up Maha Seva

Former chief minister and Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu is now richer by at least 5,00,000 US dollars. The Telugu NRIs gave enough support to Babu during his fortnight-long tour of the US, Canada and the UK. He sought funds for NTR Trust and the NRIs responded generously. It is learnt that he has collected at least 5,00,000 US dollars.

Babu is returning to Hyderabad on Sunday night and will be in full action from Monday afternoon onwards. With the money he has received from the NRIs, Babu is all set to take up social service activities - Maha Seva - for the benefit of poorer sections of society.

As it is the Telugu Desam is the richest regional political party in the country. And yet Chandrababu Naidu is depending on donations to take up service activities in the name of late TD founder NT Rama Rao. The million dollar question that continues to haunt political analysts and journalists is why does not Babu spend something from his assets in the name of NTR, instead of seeking money from someone who have nothing to do with the late actor.

Chandrababu Naidu is what he is, because of NTR. And Babu does not want to open his pocket to help the poor in the name of his mentor-father-in-law.

Andhra baby girl buried by grandfather found alive

HYDERABAD (Reuters) - A two-day-old baby girl was found alive in a grave in southern India on Thursday, after she had been buried by her grandfather who did not want to bear the cost of bringing up a girl, authorities said.

Female infanticide and foeticide, though illegal in India, are still frequent in some rural areas as boys are traditionally preferred to girls as breadwinners, and families have to pay huge dowries to marry off their daughters.

Police said they had arrested 52-year-old Abdul Rahman, a village farmer from Andhra Pradesh state, after he confessed to trying to kill his newly born granddaughter by burying her.

"I am yet to marry off four daughters and cannot take responsibility for a fifth one, even when she is only a granddaughter," the police quoted Rahman, who is from a village in Mahbubnagar district, as saying.

Mahbubnagar is a four hours drive from the state capital, Hyderabad.

Authorities said Rahman had been upset his daughter had given birth to a girl and had grabbed the child from her mother and taken her away.

Concerned by his behaviour, the family as well as neighbours began a search for the child.

"We searched the place and found a fresh grave and dug it up to find the baby wrapped in a thick cloth and rushed it to hospital," said Sheikh Wasim, a neighbour.

Authorities said the child was out of danger, but remained in intensive care.

The government says around 10 million girls have been killed by their parents -- either before or immediately after birth -- over the past 20 years.

In May, police in the western state of Gujarat arrested a man for allegedly killing his 6-day-old twin daughters by burying them alive.

City Buzz: Minting Money In 'Hyderabadi' Style

Ever since ‘The Angrez’ made waves with its Hyderabadi lingo, people are queuing up to make more such movies.

After duds like ‘Charminar Boyz’ and the more recent ‘Hungama in Dubai,’ half a dozen more Hyderabadi movies are in the pipeline. Even as these small-time producers are trying their luck with audience preferences, one producer at least is laughing all the way to the bank.

‘Hyderabad Nawabs’ is easily the most successful of all these alternative movies coming out in the city. Not only did it give ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ a run for its money in the first three weeks of their simultaneous release, the movie’s DVD and satellite rates are hitting the sky. The DVD rights were sold for a very impressive Rs 52 lakh and the satellite rights are going for a whopping Rs 1 crore. And the sales of DVDs, market watchers say, is very good among their NRI clients who want a taste of their good Hyderabad.

'Male-Sex-Workers' Earning Big In Hyderabad

Now the lucrative business for young guys in Hyderabad is 'Gigolism'. The gigolos are male sex workers those are in want for rich ladies of age groups 28 to 40. Many among them are divorced or single. Some are the ones who are not happy with their husband's sexual potency or style of 'doing that'.

"My name is PS (name hidden). I did my graduation and love spending time in gym. I frequently go to a pub where I was introduced to a person by my regular bearer. The person is well educated and looking highly sophisticated. He talked to me for a while and I was told about sexy ladies craving for sex. Since I was in drowse of ale, I got attracted to that topic and shown interest. I was paid Rs 4000 and asked to follow the person. I felt happy for getting money and 'sexual bliss'. I was really stunned when the person introduced me to a lady who was about 35, fair, tall and cunning. The person left the place and I enjoyed with her that day. She too gave me a tip of Rs 1000 in the dawn. I came to my room and told that to my room mate. He too started that now. But almost all the women are liking men with muscular bodies and they simply hate protruded bellies in men", said a guy openly as if it's a routine chat.

There is a deal in this where a male prostitute introduces another guy into this business, the former will be paid Rs 20,000 on the spot. The brokers are taking about Rs 15,000 from female clients and paying Rs. 4000 to Rs. 5000 to these gigolos.

There are big risks in this business. If the master of any gigolo comes to know that he is directly going in contact with the lady without his permission, there will be big threat for his life on a whole. It's a pool, rather a loop, where the guys once entered into this business can come out only when they go impotent. Until then they will be getting calls everyday from sex-craving ladies via brokers.

DK, a gigolo who sat behind PS said, "Every tryst will not be happy for us. Some will bring us only money, some will bring only happiness and a few will brings us both. Out of 10 cases we see, only 2 will be good lays and highly tempting with all feminine assets and oomph factor. But the rest of 8 are nasty ladies who ask us to do many nauseate things. We understand then why their husbands ostracize them. A lady asked me to do… (Censored for obscene reasons).. That's really pitiful. But we do that only for the sake of money. Some ladies ask us to come in drunken state and rape them. That's a sort of wild perverted fantasy. Some ladies rape us in reverse. They bite us, beat us and pierce nails on our chests and shoulders. They wish to see our blood to get orgasm. That's another perversion. We never thought we have to see all this when we started this job. We only feel contended for finding a big earning of Rs 1.5 lakh per month".

PS adds, "Being guys, society will not brand us as 'out cast'. We will be given special regard and many guys ask us to find ways for them to enjoy with women".

So, it's the plight of some gen-next youth in Hyderabad. So, the syndrome is not simply restricted to girls it's troubling guys as well. Moral policing and Police Task Force should be highly alert in curbing this.
