"Richer" Babu to take up Maha Seva

Former chief minister and Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu is now richer by at least 5,00,000 US dollars. The Telugu NRIs gave enough support to Babu during his fortnight-long tour of the US, Canada and the UK. He sought funds for NTR Trust and the NRIs responded generously. It is learnt that he has collected at least 5,00,000 US dollars.

Babu is returning to Hyderabad on Sunday night and will be in full action from Monday afternoon onwards. With the money he has received from the NRIs, Babu is all set to take up social service activities - Maha Seva - for the benefit of poorer sections of society.

As it is the Telugu Desam is the richest regional political party in the country. And yet Chandrababu Naidu is depending on donations to take up service activities in the name of late TD founder NT Rama Rao. The million dollar question that continues to haunt political analysts and journalists is why does not Babu spend something from his assets in the name of NTR, instead of seeking money from someone who have nothing to do with the late actor.

Chandrababu Naidu is what he is, because of NTR. And Babu does not want to open his pocket to help the poor in the name of his mentor-father-in-law.
