The shooting of 'Shankardada Zindabad' is almost completed except 3 songs. The unit is flying to Australia to complete those 3 songs. The film is set to release in July (tentative date in air is 6th July) while the audio will be hitting in the second week of June. Although the producers are planning to release the film in last week of June, practical problems may hinder that. Although the date is not announced officially, it's making rounds as tentative date. Devi Sri Prasad scored music for the film while Prabhudeva directed it. Karishma Kotak of Kingfisher calendar fame paired up with Chiranjeevi in this film. The shooting of the film was packed up very soon and it is said that no big creativity is used in making other than truly translating the film 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' scene by scene. We have to see how it works out.

Former captain Kapil Dev has slammed the Indian cricketers for their propensity for foreign coaches and declared that Ravi Shastri is ''the best option'' for the post of Team India coach.
''Ravi Shastri is the best option for the job. The baord and Shastri himself should take the initiative and offer to coach India,'' Kapil said adding that it would be in the best interest of Indian cricket.
He also criticised players' support for foreign coaches namely Dav Whatmore and Tom Moody.
''Since they (the Indian cricketers) haven't played under these two, they shoudn't be saying anything in their favour. I am disheartened by the fact that the current players do not want an Indian to coach the team,'' Kapil said on a TV programme to be aired on Aaj Tak.
Madan Lal and Anshuman Gaekwad also echoed Kapil's sentiments on the issue.
Remembering, his tenure, former coach Madan Lal said ''there were times when I was helpless, but they (players) did not understand this. I didn't had any support staff either.'' Commenting on Whatmore's almost successful candiature Madan Lal said, ''Appointing a former coach is derogatory to the former Indian players. Since the current team doesn't want an Indian to coach them and only one man is running the race, he is likely to win as well.'' Although, he put forward his candiature and said, ''the Board should call four-five candidates. I am aggressive to and well qualified for the job.'' Former coach Anshuman Gaekwad also supported Kapil Dev and Madan Lal, he said, ''this time the selection process has no transparency about it.''

Shriya recalls her nostalgic moment by saying that she first entertained people when she was just 4. She says that is her unforgettable incident. "When I was 4 I went to Birla Mandir in Jaipur along with my family members. I was overwhelmed with joy looking at that marble temple and started dancing there. A group conglomerated around me to watch my dance. I still remember that bliss of happiness I felt in that temple. That temple made me entertain people for the first time which might be a herald that implied my future", says Shriya.
That's a really memorable nostalgia, right?!
Vizag: The crew of Nitya Films `Bhookailas - Ecaram Yebhai Kotlu' are celebrating the successful running of the Venu Madhav-Suhashini-starrer low-budget movie. In a chat with reporters before interacting with viewers in Vizianagaram district, director Siva Nageswara Rao, producers Gurunadha Reddy and Suresh said that from the day-1 of the release, the cinema had become a big hit all over the State.
This was produced to narrate fantasies of Kailas, a milk vendor, who has rag to riches story following boom in real estates and earns Rs.100 crores by selling two acres.
"The cinema is accepted well by the masses as it's a good family entertainer," Mr. Nageswara Rao said.
Comedian Venu Mahdav, who has donned the role of hero against Suhashini, the sparkling beauty from Nellore, said he was very happy with the acceptance of the public as a hero. He said the box office collections had exceeded the hopes of all.
Although the film 'Operation Duryodhana' turned down at box office, it has become controversial at last. The film has shown a few scenes relating to Telangana agitation stating that the leaders of Telangana agitation simply made it hype for getting publicity. Reacting to this the TRSV (Telangana Rashtra Samithi Vidyarthi Vibhag) attacked on Aaradhana Theater at Tarnaka, Hyderabad and burnt down the posters. They also tried to burn the reel but the theater management prevented them and took safety measures by locking the theater. The screening of the film was stopped. TRSV General Secretary E Sreenivas said that the movie has given many wrong impressions on Telangana, Andhra and Rayalaseema issue and made fun about Tirupathi Laddu as well. He also said that that Posani, the director of the film should give a public apology for making this film. He also said that agitations will mobilize to stop screening this film from today (Monday). Will it turn as a blessing in disguise for the film with negative publicity or will Posani get trapped in the soup of bad controversy? That has to be seen.
Rajni gets a bumper tax cut on Shivaji in Telugu
While Shivaji in Tamil may not bring any tax relief to superstar Rajnikant, his Telugu dubbed version is going in rake in the moolah in form of tax cut. Shivaji in Telugu is going to be the first dubbed film to get the tax cut after Supreme Court struck down the differential entertainment tax levied by the State government.
The Supreme Court in its recent order felt that the differential rate of taxation should not be implemented on the basis of language alone. After scrapping the slab system, the Congress government went in for a new tax structure. This was done to encourage original films in Telugu. But with the SC's order, exhibitors will go in for dubbed films to save on tax. And Shivaji has made the first killing.
She is Tejashree who is hot and sultry. She is ready to do in item numbers as well as heroine if directors find her fit.
She has no inhibitions in showing herself sexy on screen.
She is targeting all the language films and it's a still from one of her recent profile albums. It's both good and bad news for all Tabu fans. The good news is that the versatile actor has ended her exile this year with two films in a row, The Namesake and Cheeni Kum . Now the bad news is that she isn't too keen to appear in films regularly.
Sources close to the actress say that she has had her share of success and now wants to settle down and enjoy a quiet life in her new state-of-the-art house that she is constructing in Hyderabad. And as for her marriage? That doesn't seem to be happening in her life right now! But she is enjoying every moment of it and it's not quite a cheeni kum life for Tabu!
This is the gossip that is making rounds in city now. Koti market in Hyderabad has become a place for pirated Cds selling on roads. That's one aspect.
The other aspect is that the vendors are also selling some 'Hot' Cds at premium rates say between Rs 100 to Rs 150 by creating artificial hype. A look alike of a recently married heroine (a Kannadiga) acted in a video in which she is getting massaged by a man.
That's being sold by a vendor in that market as per sources. That video also started circulating in emails as per the sources. People know that the video is not original but only shot on a look alike. But still the crave to watch that among a set of youngsters is encouraging the makers to do more of that sort.
The moral policing and strict measures to curb these videos should be taken immediately. Otherwise, we may not wonder to see there will be some nasty video in the name of every actress with look-alikes.Mothers too are responsible for certain types of infertility in men. Thus far, onlyfathers have been held responsible for infertility in the male offspring. This is so because it is the father who transmits the Y or male sex-determining chromosome tothe son and the mother does not transmit any male sex chromosome to the male child. But a study, by the Hyderabad-based Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, on Indian men from different linguistic and geographical backgrounds shows that motherstoo play a key role in transferring the infertility genes to sons. Mothers, however,do not themselves get affected by these infertility genes.
The CCMB study revealed that mitochondrial DNA, which is inherited by sons frommothers, is contributing to increasing male infertility around the world, particularly in men from the Indian sub-continent. The mitochondrial or mDNA is found to be undergoing mutations affecting the motility of sperm as well as itscount."Sperm quality is also greatly influenced by mutations in the components of therespiratory chain of the mitochondrial DNA. Although mDNA has been studied extensively for the past two decades, very few studies have investigated theinvolvement of mDNA mutations in male infertility. There are 37 genes in mDNA,encoding 13 proteins, which are essential components of respiratory-chain complexes involved in the production of adenosine triphosphate," says Dr Kumarasamy Thangarajof Evolutionary and Medical Genetics Laboratory of the Centre for Cellular andMolecular Biology. As part of the study, the CCMB team analysed the mitochondrial DNA of 34 men suffering from oligoasthenozoospermia (low sperm count with poor motility) alongwith 150 normozoospermic (fertile) men. The team noticed a novel missense mutationin ND4 gene. A missense is a mutation that converts a codon coding for one amino acid to a codon coding for another amino acid. In the case of oligoasthenozoospermicmen, the mutation in the ND4 gene replaced threonine with isoleucine. But this wasnot observed in normozoospermic or fertile men who served as a control group for purpose of the study.Dr Thangaraj points out that abnormal semen is one of the major factors that isassociated with male infertility. The quality and quantity of sperm production maybe affected greatly by both environmental and genetic factors.
Karyotypic (chromosomal) abnormalities and Y-chromosomal microdeletions are the most frequentgenetic abnormalities associated with abnormal semen profile, particularlyoligozoospemia (less than 20 million sperm per ml but still a measurable level) nonobstructive azoospermia (a condition with complete lack of measurable sperm).Explaining how the mitochondrial DNA from mothers is responsible for infertility insons, he says spermatozoa are heavily dependent on mitochondria for respiratory energy for motility. The mature mammalian spermatozoon contains about 72 to 80mitochondria in the mitochondrial sheath of the midpiece (area below the sperm headwhich serves as a motor of the sperm).Analysis of blood samples from both oligoasthenozoospermic (infertile) and normozoospermic (fertile) control men revealed the presence of several sequence variants but one variant at nucleotide position was found to be present in all 10samples. Interestingly the T allele (C11994T) never before has been reported, either as a polymorphism or in association with a disease, anywhere in the world."We screened for the presence of this mutation in the remaining 24 samples.Amazingly, we also found this mutation in all the remaining 24 samples, although none of the 150 proven-fertile (normozoospermic) men carried it. The C11994Tmutation is located in the second base of a codon, resulting in an amino-acid changefrom threonine to isoleucine at amino-acid position 412 of the ND4 gene. The ND4 gene is an essential subunit of complex I of the mitochondrial respiratory chain, and ND4 mutations have been implicated in mitochondrial diseases such as Leigh'ssyndrome and Leber hereditary optic neuropathy," he observed.
Because none of the fertile men analysed in this study or in other studies aroundthe world has been found to contain this C11994T mutation, the possibility of itbeing a neutral polymorphism was ruled out by the CCMB team.
"There is interesting evidence that mDNA variation is an important contributor tothe motility variation of sperm. Mutations of mDNA have been well documented inseveral disorders, either independently or in association with nuclear mutations," Dr Thangaraj says.
