Naidu to abstain from Balaiah's birthday fete
Film star and prospective politician Nandamuri Balakrishna's birthday at Rajahmundry on Sunday is evincing more interest in the people than ever before.

Reason: Never in the past did Balaiah celebrated his birthday so pompously. But this time, it is going to be a public affair in the presence of thousands of his fans. What is more interesting is the participation of Telugu Desam workers in large numbers in the birthday celebrations. The TD is unofficially funding the Balaiah's birthday celebrations and is organising social service activities like blood donation and distribution of fruits and sweets amogn the poor and patients.

Naturally, it has led to wide spread speculations that Balaiah might make a formal announcement on his joining the Telugu Desam. Reliable sources said even Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu would attend the celebrations, along with other family members like Harikrishna, Jr NTR, Kalyanram, to make it a family reunion function. In fact, Naidu was go to Kakinada to attend controversial Christian preacher K A Paul's meeting on Saturday and from there to Rajahmundry, but he dropped out at the last meeting fearing that it might trigger a controversy. He left it to Balaiah on the timing of his entry into politics. In all probability, Balaiah may keep mum on his political arangetram fo now, sources say.
