‘Srikanth and I got married on Feb 7 in Kakinada’
The proposed wedding of actor Srikanth (Sriram in Tollywood) with Vandana, daughter of a businessman which ran into troubled waters recently, after the media carried reports of some alleged business fraud that her family was believed to be involved in, took a new dimension when Vandana on Wednesday night moved into actor Srikanth’s house stating that they were married.

Vandana had come to Srikanth’s house on Wednesday and took up the issue with him. Following this, the actor left the house, and his parents, not knowing how to deal with the situation, lodged a police complaint at the Vadapalani all women police station on Thursday night, and also left the house. In the complaint that was lodged by Srikanth’s father, he demanded that the police help them evict Vandana from the house.

However, in an unexpected twist, Vandana who is now staying alone in Srikanth’s house, told reporters on Friday that she is legally married to Srikanth and has every right to live in his house. Looking tired and vulnerable, the girl told reporters, "We got married on February 7 in a simple ceremony at the Venugopalsami temple in Kakinada. The wedding was attended by Srikanth’s sister and she had also signed the marriage registry as a witnesses to the event." She added that Srikanth has been threatened by his parents not to accept her as his wife. "But he is my husband and no force can separate us," she emphasized. Vandana also released their wedding photographs and supporting documents as evidence to the media.

Meanwhile there were reports that the actor along with his parents had fled to Tirupati, and Vandana told reporters that the actor was planning to leave to the US with his parents.

Talking about their ‘engagement’ that was announced a month ago, Vandana said that when Srikanth’s parents found out about their wedding, they selected a date — June 18 — to conduct the ‘official’ wedding. "But after they heard that police cases had been filed against my parents, Srikanth’s parents decided to halt the wedding plans," she said. Vandana also alleged that Srikanth’s family demanded Rs 10 lakh from her for to produce his next movie.

When contacted, inspector Ms. Vayalabhai who is handling the case, said that there has been no further development in the case as the police is still investigating. However, sources say that if what Vandana says is true, Srikanth and his family could face arrest.

Crazy Fans: ‘Beer’abhishekam for Rajni
People who had gathered outside AVM theatre witnessed an unusual sight on the morning of the launch of Sivaji. A huge cut-out of the superstar was getting a traditional abhishekam, but what was being used to bathe the actor’s image was anything but traditional. A group of hard-core fans decided that they wanted to do something different, and show their hero how much he means to them by dousing his picture with something that meant a lot of them — beer!

Bottles of Kingfisher and Golden Eagle beer were poured down from on top of the massive cut-out, as well as sprayed on the smaller pictures. All this was accompanied by wild cheers, and chants in praise of the superstar. When the fans were asked why they chose beer, they replied that it was more expensive than milk and they enjoyed it more, so it was their way of showing their love for their hero!

Veda wants to strip… Will Any One Come Forward!

No Telugu gal can settle down as heroine in near future. If any gal dares to enter, she has to swallow her tears. Laya has proven it. Now Veda is ready to prove. She has suffixed her name with ‘Sastry’ to improve her image. Still there are no takers. Unlike Laya her predecessor, she doesn’t want to look like a traditional Telugu gal. She is ready to strip off her robes to an unreasonable extent. Yes. She made a public statement on her willingness for exposing in a Media Conference. Still, No hope. If she too fails make her mark as heroine, there is no silver lining in the sky for Telugu gals even in distant future too.
