Just like Tamilnadu Rajinikanth has similar following&craze in Andhra Pradesh too.His Latest movie Sivaji Telugu version is releasing with 265 prints in more than 300 theatres in Andhra Pradesh.Bellamkonda Suresh bagged Sivaji Telugu rights for Rs.14Crores(only theatre screening rights.Satellite Tv , overseas, audio, ringtones etc are not included) and according to estimates Sivaji done a whopping business of Rs.20Crores in A.P alone(Andhra Rs.9Crores, Nizam Rs.6.75Crores, Ceded Rs4crores)

Here are some interesting facts about the evolution of Rajinikanth market in A.P.

Prior to Basha Rajini films business in A.P is not much bigger than other dubbing films.The films biz is not more than Rs.10Lakhs for total A.P
But Basha changed everything...When Chiranjeevi rejected to act in Basha remake..producers sold the Telugu dubbing rights for Rs.15 Lakhs. The film release delayed for 3 months.Just look at the following table for the rest of the History...

Sekhar Kammula Director of the Anand, Godavari is going to direct Mahesh Babu's move! Guntur M.P Rayapati Sambasivarao and another business man is the producers of this film. They are going to start this movie in 2007 itself.

Sekhar Kammula is doing now Happy Days movie is almost completed.

Sivaji Fever : 3Days tickets sold in 30Mins. @ Prasad Multiplex

Update June 13th,12:00Noon: Prasad Multiplex tickets for the weekend (Friday, Saturday &Sunday are sold within 30Minutes.) PVR advance booking will start shortly.

Update June 12th: Prasad Multiplex confirmed for Sivaji,They agreed for 6Shows daily.the ticket price is hicked to Rs.125,Imax screen ticket is priced at Rs.180.

Rajinikanth Sivaji theatres in Hyderabad are almost finalised(except Prasad Multiplex). Distributor Pyramid SaiMira and Prasadz Management are in talks and it may be finalised by tomorrow (distributor wants more no:of shows &more screens). PVR people are scheduling the shows now.Most probably Advance booking in PVR may start tomorrow.
