Snippet: ANR Admitted He Loves Sanmanams
Akkineni Nageswara Rao admitted his desire of receiving sanmanams. He received many sanmanams from several organizations and once there was a talk that ANR is mad of those felicitations. Referring to that he shared his inner feelings.

"I love sanmanams. I used to see who will felicitate me. I received sanmanams till people felt that I'm mad of those. But there is a reason for that. I have seen many insults in my career. When I entered film industry, there was no respect for actors and actresses. Even when I was married, many told my wife that she married a useless fellow, a mere actor. I got frustrated by all that. I thought the actor should receive felicitations on par with scholars and high achievers. I have no degrees of education and no money initially. But I got honors from all sectors as I am an actor. I felt at 75 th year that I received enough of felicitations. Since then I'm tending to felicitate deserving artistes in film and drama fields", said Akkineni Nageswara Rao.

ANR shared this from the dais of Ravindra Bharathi last evening that is 28th June 2007.
