Keeravani's father Siva Shakthi Dutta is known as a director of the film 'Chandrahaas' for many. But there is a great thing to know about him. He is such a great poet who got applause from Kavi Samrat Viswanatha Satyanarayana long back. Siva Sakthi Dutta wrote the long poem on Gangavataranama with the title 'Gagana Gangavataranam'. He took the manuscript of that poem to Viswanatha Satyanarayana and said that he wants to sing that for him.
With all disgust and lack of confidence, Viswanatha asked him to read only 5 lines from the book. When Siva Sakti Dutta sang, Viswanatha asked him to sing from the beginning slowly. After listening to everything he went inside and brought silk shawls and covered Siva Sakthi Dutta with that.
After that Viswanatha said, "I feared if I had to listen to some nonsense. But you shook my senses. I wrote Gangavataranam episode in Ramayana Kalpaviksham. I thought none would cross my romanticism in writing that. But now, I declare that you did that. This is the shawl I got in the felicitation for writing Ramayana Kalpavriksham. Now I give away this to you".
That's the incident took place long back. Well, Ramayana Kalpavriksham is the epic that brought Jnanapeeth Award to Viswanatha Satyanarayana. The book 'Gagana Gangavataranam' was printed in 1998. Is that not enough to say the poetic fervor of Siva Shakti Dutta?!
Indeed, we can say that the artistic talent was taken by Keeravani from his father, but in the form of classical music.
The Andhra Pradesh government and the US Embassy in New Delhi on Tuesday completed all the formalities and entered into an MoU for setting up of US consulate in Hyderabad. To begin with the office of the US consulate will be located at the historic and picturesque Paigah Palace and later it will be shifted to a new premises at Gatchi Bowli once the US embassy constructs its own building in the city.
This brings curtains down on the formalties. It's now only a matter of time. Those seeking visas to the US need no longer go to Chennai. Once the consulate starts functioning, it will issue visas for the people of the State. The long wait is finally over.

There was an impression among the people that film actors cannot act on stage on par with stage artistes and they shiver with fear as that's real time platform. But breaking that impression NTR made a big attempt in 1969 to help the flood victims. He played Sri Krishna Tulabharam drama in several places by portraying the role of Lord Krishna. People used to stand and pray for him assuming real Krishna has come on to stage. In that drama Kantha Rao played Narada while Savitri and Devika played Satyabhama and Rukmini respectively.
The drama got very good response and people understood that film stars are no less to drama artistes while acting on stage.

Kamilini Mukherji, throwing away her decent image, has said yes to exposing. She exposed her 'assets' by unbuttoning her blouse in front of the hero Allari Naresh in the film in progress, 'Pellaindi Kaani…'. Though she was reluctant to do this, director EVV convinced her that the situation really warranted it. Naresh plays the role of a mentally challenged boy.
To provoke him sexually as a dutiful wife, Kamilini had to do this. Kamilini had to make many compromises in the film.
The second hero, who is playing opposite to him, is an outdated hero. He is Harish. But she charged for every compromise, she made.
She got an additional amount of Rupees Two lakhs for accepting Harish as second hero. She is charging extra for all the scenes she dislike.

Ravi Teja and director VV Vinayak's first ever combination film is all set to begin from July 9th. The film will be launched on that date in a grand manner. This untitled film has Trisha as heroine. Vinayak once again pairs up with music director Ramana Gogula. This will be Ramana Gogula's third film in a row with Vinayak after Lakshmi and Yogi. Though Yogi flopped its music was a big hit, hence Viyanak stuck with him for this film too.
Buzz is that Sneha's name has almost finalized for prestigious film, "Ranga Panduranga". She will be paired opposite Balakrishna in this film as one of the heroines. Director K. Raghavendra Rao who directed her in Sri Ramadasu is keen on roping her in for this devotional musical. Rest of the cast is yet to be finalized.
On July 4th, megastar Chiranjeevi's much awaited music of Shankardada Zindabad will be released. A huge audio launch ceremony is going to be held at Chiranjeevi's favorite place – Shilpakala Vedika. Only selected few are invited for this music launch. From June 5 th, audio albums will be available in every nook and corner of Andhra Pradesh.
Veteran producer and writer MS Reddy has been elected as President for Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce for the year 2007 – 2008. Producer D. Suresh Babu is Vice President from Producer's sector. Mandava Krishnachand (Roopa Films) from distributors sector and B. Amarnaath from theatre owners sector have been elected as Vice Presidents.
Nagarjuna completes a song for his latest film "Don". On Monday (July 2 nd), the song that shot on Nagarjuna and Anushka was finished filming.
Mummaith Khan gives an easy offer to book her for their films. Keeping in view her ever rising remuneration, she has conceived this scheme. If any producer wants to book her, he has to consider her price of the day and pay the advance. Once she receives advance payment, she sticks to the price.
Though she enhances her price later, she doesn't charge the difference. Agreeing with her proposal, Paidi Babu booked her for his film 'Mangatayaru Tiffin Centre' by paying Rs.5 Lakhs as advance amount.
So, what is the commonality between Naidu and Sivaji, as he is projecting? Like Sivaji in the film, Naidu is planning to set up engineering and medical colleges in private sector all over the State, on behalf of NTR Memorial Trust, which he wants to run as a full-fledged NGO. He is going about requesting the Telugu NRIs in the US to "support" this noble cause of the NTR Trust. The trust is already running a school for the orpans of violence victims.
However, Naidu has not made it clear whether he would provide admissions into these engineering and medical colleges to the poor students free of cost, as "Sivaji" does in the film. Moreover, he is misusing the NTR Trust building to run his Telugu Desam party and is collecting party funds in the name of the trust. So, can people believe him if he says he is emulating "Sivaji" character in the Rajnikanth film?
Irony is that Sivaji changes his name to "NTR" during the climax scenes in the film. Is it a mere coincidence or has Naidu any role in the film making?
Grapevine says that a popular TV actress whose name can be abbreviated as 'JR' is now affected with HIV positive and living away from small screen industry. She is known for her big eyes and expertise in classical dance.
She watched in many TV serials. She got married little while ago and living with her husband and kid. It was diagnosed recently that she got affected with Aids.
She is in depressed mode now and not at all entertaining any of the producers and directors. She is moving away from her colleagues as well as per the grapevine. But why should she feel so? HIV is not a sin or crime.

Those who have been observing the commotion created in the entire Telangana region and particularly the State Capital over the implementation (or lack of it) of the controversial GO 610 are at their wit's end as to what film heroine-turned-Telangana champion Vijayashanti is doing. Vijayashanti is conspicuously missing from the scene, when the Telangana Rashtra Samithi led by K Chandrasekhar Rao, its splinter group A Narendra and even the Telangana leaders in the Bharatiya Janata Party, Telugu Desam and even the Communists have been agitating for the implementation of the GO 610. Except making an odd statement in the past over the GO, she has not come out with any agitational programme or an emotional statement to make her presence felt.
The reason why Vijayashanti is not in a position to come out so openly in this regard is said to be her poor knowledge about the whole issue. She doesn't know what GO 610 is all about, what Girglani Commission report says, what is six-point formula and what is the Presidential Order. Without understanding these basic principles which forms the historic background for the Telangana movement, there is no point in talking about the need for a separate Telangana State, she was reportedly told. So, Vijayashanti is now said to be studying what the whole issue is, so that she can bravely face the media and the people who question her credentials in Telangana!

The production house has not compromised on any issues and wants to make a mark in the international market. The highlights of this film are far too many with music being the first amongst them. The audio of this film compromises of 6 songs and 4 bit songs and is getting released in the 1st week of July. One of the song is sung by Daler Mahendi and one of them by the Hero NTR and the Heroine Mamatha Mohandas.
A team of 80 professionals spread over three outsourcing houses spearheaded by EFX are working on the graphics and the production house is confident of coming out with the most impressive visuals. Some of the work was handled by Mr. Adel Eddelli a professional from Iran who has contributed heavily in the Hollywood films too.
Another highlight of the film is that it is hatrick combination of Director S.S. Rajamouli and NTR whose two earlier films Student No.1 and Simhadri were big block busters in Tollywood. Also the film by far has a large star cast in the form of the biggest names in Tollywood. Padmashri Dr.M. Mohan Babu is playing an equally important role as the hero and is bound to create waves with his performance as lord Yama. Apart from this, the film has seven heroines namely Khusboo, Priyamani, Mamatha Mohandas, Rambha, Preethi Jhingania, Navneet Kaur, Archana. Probably this is the only film in Telugu were the hero shakes a leg with all the above heroines except Khusboo, which is bound to variety and spice to this film. The other important stars are Dr. Brahmanandam, Ali, M.S. Narayana, Raghubabu, Jayprakash, Rajiv Kanakala etc. The role of the villain is donned by Narendra Jha who played the role of Bajji Rao in the film Chatrapathi.
The excellent art work by popular art director Mr. Anand Sai is well complimented by the cinematographer Mr. K.K. Senthil Kumar who has bee given a free hand by the production house and the Director to light up the sets in a very tasteful way. And though the cost of the film had gone up substantially because of his excellent lighting schemes, the producers have no qualms about it as it is financially enhancing the richness of the film.
Director S.S. Rajamouli who has given 5 successive block busters, carries a major responsibility on his shoulders as he has to ensure that this film has to be better than all his previous films. The expectations are very high and the entire team of Yama Donga has no doubts that he will deliver it in style. This film is bound to satisfy one and all as it has universal appeal with lot of entertainment stuffed into it.
