Hyderabad International Film Fest from Jan 3rd
The 2nd season of the Hyderabad International Film Festival is all set to begin on the 3rd of January and extend up to the 1oth. Films will be screened at Prasads Multiplex as well as at the Amaravathi Theater in lakadi ka pul. Delegate passes, priced at Rs 500 each, are available at Saradhi Studios.

VV Vinayak-Ravi Teja’s treat for Sankranthi
Actor Ravi Teja’s, V.V.Vinayak directed Krishna is all set to release on the 10th of January. The film that stars glam doll Trisha as the leading lady has music by Chakri. Aditya Music will be releasing the audio on 27th December. The film is a Lakshmi Narasimha Visuals production.

Pawan Kalyan at Chiruta’s 100 days celebrations
Looks like uncle Pawan Kalayn is doing his bit for nephew Charan Tej. The ever elusive Pawan Kalyan has apparently agreed to be part of the 100 days celebrations of Charan Tej’s debut film Chiruta. The celebrations are being planned to be held at Vizag, where the film is still running to packed houses.

Fans outraged at demolishing of Balakrishna’s cutout
Balakrishna fans all over AP were outraged when a group of unknown people attacked and demolished a cutout of the actor’s in Chirala of Prakasam district. Police had there hands full trying to control the angry mobs that were leading to road blocks in the area.

Government announces Nandi Awards committee members
Film maker M.S Reddy will be spear heading the Nandi Awards Committee, as the chairman, for the year 2006. The government just recently announced the committee members, for the upcoming awards. The committee includes industry veterans like Vijayanirmala, Annapurna, Ayyappa P Sharma, Arjuna Raju, Vasu Rao, Allani Sridhar, Y.Kiran, VSR Swamy, Pothuri Ranga Rao, Sai Suvana, Krishna Rao Kesav, Veersisetty Hazarath Babu, Poonam Ranga Rao and Prabhu. Film Development Corporation managing director C.Parathasarthy will be acting as the member convener.

Mohan Babu in Puri-Prabha’s film
It seems like director Puri Jagannadh will be swinging the magic wand to revive the career of actor Prabhas. Prabhas, whose last film, Munna, bombed at the box office, has signed up with the maverick director for the film Bujjigadu…..made in Chennai. The film will bring together Trisha and Prabhas for the third time. But adding extra spice to this treat will be veteran actor-film maker Mohan Babu. The actor will be portraying the role of Trisha’s brother in the film. One will have to just wait and watch as to how this combination will work. Here’s hoping for the best.

10 music directors for Patnaik’s film
Yes. 10 of the industry’s top music director came together for music director R.P.Patnaik’s directorial debut film Andamaina Manasulo, starring Rajeev, Sindhu Menon and Archana Gupta in the lead roles. This time round the directors lent their voices, instead of their tunes, for the song “Ammayi Navvindhi..Abbayiki Nacchindhi”, along with R.P.Patnaik. Produced by S.V.Babu this SV Productions venture has completed it shooting part and is presently in the post production stage. The film’s music will be released on the 25th of this month in Vizag.

Audio of Sumanth’s Pourudu on 27th December
The audio of actor Sumanth’s, Raj Aditya directed Pourudu, will be releasing on the 27th of this month while the film itself will be released for the coming festival of Sankranthi. Produced by D.Supriya, the film has music by Manisharma. Kajal is playing the role of the film’s leading lady.

Superstar Krishna in a refreshingly new look
Super star Krishna is all set to impress his fans with a very modernized yet simple look in his forthcoming film with director Sushi Ganeshan. In this film titled Mallanna, starring Siyan Vikram in the lead role, Krishna will be portraying the role of a CBI officer for the first time. Other than this Krishna also has his bag full with more than a couple of films including a Suresh Productions venture starring Ravi Teja in the lead and to be directed by Uday Shankar.
