Mani's 'Dubai Seenu' rules Telugu audio market again
Veteran composer Mani Sharma is flying high as his album 'Dubai Seenu' stages a comeback and tops the list. The top Telugu albums are:
1. 'Dubai Seenu' - Popular numbers 'Kol kol' and 'Kanya raasi' are making waves again. Mani Sharma, known for his people-friendly 'masala' tunes, appears to have done a great job with the rhythm and Western beats for the album.
2. 'Satyabhama' - Post 'Desamudru', composer Chakri has made yet another winner. The music underlines the woman-centred theme of the film. 'Pyar karo' and 'Gundelona' are nice numbers.
3. 'Sivaji - the Boss' - After all, A.R. Rahman is A.R. Rahman. The music of 'Sivaji' grows on you, especially after watching the film and will retain its place in the top albums list for some more time.
4. 'Munna' - Engaging tunes composed by Harris Jayaraj are keeping the album in the list. 'Kadulu' in particular is a song that is likely to hold listeners' interest despite the film's disappointing performance at the box office.
5. 'Aadavari Matalaku Atthale Verule' - Yuvan Shankar Raja's music in the film could be classified as 'easy listening'. That is why the album remains on the list despite no particular outstanding rhythm.

'Lakshyam' beats 'Sivaji' to take top spot
Actor Gopichand shines in 'Lakshyam', a revenge drama.
The film got an overwhelming response at the ticket window and pushed Rajnikant-starrer 'Sivaji - the Boss' one notch down. It is enjoying the top position this fortnight and may rule the charts for sometime.
The top five Telugu films are:
1. 'Lakshyam' - A revenge drama complete with the trademark smirk and imposing physique of Gopichand, the film has become an instant hit with the audience. Land disputes, cops and journalists appear to have touched a chord with the masses.
2. 'Sivaji' - Still running to packed audiences, the success of 'Sivaji' at the box office appears unending. The viewership has now shifted to moviegoers who have watched the movie more than once. One can attribute its success to superstar Rajnikant, who has the knack to turn the ordinary into extraordinary. A fall in the list for this film, therefore, does not signify anything more than the film industry's rising production values.
3. 'Dubai Seenu' - The film moves up the list this week, with fans appreciating actor Ravi Teja who is back in form. A crowd-puller directed towards youth, the film about a young man who yearns to become rich strikes a chord with the viewers. Well-crafted action scenes and good music by Mani Sharma have helped the film chart its upward move.
4. 'Satyabhama' - Not very unlike 'Ghazni' minus the violence, the film is like a page out of Salvador Dali's surrealistic paintings. The mush interspersed with comic relief has proved to be a crowd-puller for some time now and appears to continue entertaining the lovelorn audiences.
5. 'Toss' - Priyadarshini Ram's 'Toss' has bagged the fifth spot this fortnight. Though the film boasts of an interesting plot, there is little to hold the audience's attention. Radical changes in cinematography and a new avatar for Raja do not appear to have gone down well with the masses. The movie may be well on its way out.

Gossip: Priyamani and Anushka Blame Each Other!
Envy always plays its role between two successful beautiful women. A promising star Priyamani couldn't hide her jealousy against Anushka, a rising star.
Anushka has gained reputation for figure of late- thanks to Yoga she teaches and practices. Priyamani disapproves Anushka's knowledge in Yoga.
'She (Anushka) doesn't know ABC of Yoga. She pretends she knows it. She is not as slim as she thinks. Have a close look at her. She has fat all over", Priyamani shared that aloud in the presence of a few media persons.
They dutifully carried her remarks to Anushka. Anuskha's rebuttal was too crude and blunt. It is said that she replied, 'She has fat, where a woman doesn't need to have.'
This is the essence of the cat fight between these two dames.

Star Talk: Parvati Melton's Designer Wear!
Parvati Melton says that her costumes used in the film 'Allare Allari' would certainly enthrall the ladies once the film is released. The designs are very impressive and the ladies would love to get them stitched that way. Especially, the designer blouses are eye striking, she says. The same is conveyed through an anchor on a Television channel. Well, this is another sort of publicity for the film as it is getting ready to release. The title specifies that it is an out and out comedy film. That way masses will be pulled to theaters. If this 'ladies aspect' is also added to the promotion, there would be good attendance of female audiences as well, as per the promotion team of the film. Let us see how this film reaches the maximum set of audiences.
Basheed produced the film in the direction of Muppalaneni Shiva and the inside talk says that the film has come out very well. Allari Naresh, Venu, Parvati Melton and Mallika Kapoor acted in lead roles in the film.

Press Note: ManiSharma Rocks in Columbus
"Manisharma has proved time and time again that his musical events are quite unlike those featuring other composers or singers," says Jagadish Prabhala whose JP Entertainment is hosting the Columbus show along with Saibaba Society of Ohio on July 20. "His music has as much appeal as that of any big Tollywood star studded event."
"It has been a very busy year. Yet I thought of the concert tour for many reasons," the composer says. He also loves being with his singers off the recording studio but doesn't get many opportunities to do so in India. "It is a different feeling when you work with them for a stage show," he explains. "The challenges are different, and we come alive even more than when we are in a recording studio. The friendship also grows."
Manisharma's biggest challenge, however, is not assembling first-rate artists or having the best acoustics at each venue. "There are fans who have long memories," he says. My wife is a cruel lady, says Pavan Kalyan
Power Star Pavan Kalyan, brother of Mega Star Chiranjeevi, has apparently realised that he is in deep trouble in connection with the bigamy case filed by his wife Nandini and that he would have to face a non-bailable imprisonment. After failing to enter into a compromise with Nandini and get rid of her once and for all, Pavan Kalyan had no other option but to file a divorce petition in the Visakhapatnam family court. The reason cited in his petition is strange: He has described Nandini as a cruel woman and that she treated him with utter contempt. He said any continuation of the marital relationship would cause grave damage and injury to his mental health.Sources said Nandini had produced strong evidences before the court against Pavan Kalyan; importantly with regard to his second marriage. Therefore, it would be difficult for the court to believe his version. Moreover, he is a well-known actor, a martial arts expert and has a lot of influence in the society and therefore, it was doubtful whether the court would believe his argument that she was cruel to him and ill-treated him. Such a petition normally comes from an aggrieved wife.
Secondly, Pavan Kalyan's petition came very late, as the local police had already completed their investigation and are all set to submit a report to the court. Thus, difficult days are ahead for Pavan Kalyan!

Screen Buzz: Anushka Wept For Gopichand!
Anushka made chitchat on television channel yesterday. She said that she wept for while watching the plight of Gopichand in the film 'Lakshyam'. She said she was moved by that scene. Interestingly, Anuskha spoke in very good Telugu on par with native Telugu speaker while saying that.. Saying about her exposing and performance aspects she said, "We cannot add only spice without salt to a dish with the idea to make it spicier. At the same time we cannot add only salt without spice. So, I feel it should be a right mix of everything. I give preference for the roles those balance me with performance and glamour look. A good performance oriented role certainly elevates the image of an actress".
Well, there has been gossip that Anushka is sharing good friendship with Gopichand. Probably, the same friendship might have jerked tears from the eyes of Anushka.

Rajani Kanth Keeps Mohan Babu At Distance!
Mohan Babu claims that he is an intimate friend to Rajani Kanth. While he draws his reference, he expresses his abusive affection with the words like 'that fool' and 'the rascal', to exhibit how strong the bond between them is.This attitude made Mohan Babu upset. He is believed to have expressed his displeasure to Rajani Kanth over phone.
But certainly many tend to do friendship with 'cool appearing' guys like Chiru than hot and spicy Mohan Babu.

Photo Feature: Hottest-Pic From Kollywood
This is the hottest pic from Tamil film 'Kadhal Arangam' made by Velu Prabhakaran a couple of years ago but struggled a lot to come out of Censor till the beginning of this year. The theme of the film runs on a man's desire to have sex with a girl. The girl in the pic is Shirlee who got branded as 'D-Grade actress with this film. She is hardly getting calls from big banners despite possessing beauty and photogenic features.

Nagarjuna Has Chosen Gunnam Because..!
Nagarjuna has decided not to repeat two similar types of roles in consecution. His firm decision is to keep on showing variety from role to role with eccentricity,. He acted in 'Super' as Hi-Tech robber and transformed as Bhakta Ramadasu immediately. Then he acted in 'Boss' as a handsome gentleman. Again he is acting as 'Don' with a different lookout. Freshly there was news that Nag is acting as God in the Telugu remake of Hollywood blockbuster 'Bruce Almighty' where the lead role will be played by Vishnu.Apart from this, he is going to act in Gunnam Gangaraju's 'Love Story 123' (tentative title). The films of Gunnam will be novel in their own way and Nag thus Nag wants to show his different styles from film to film. All this says that he is firm on his ideology.
Well, little while ago there was a rumor that Nag will be acting in Sekhar Kammula's direction after his 'Happy Days'. Even that is in pipeline and it was revealed that Nag will be portraying the role of doctor in Sekhar's film that may materialize sometime in second half of 2008, as per the sources.
