Balakrishna’s Ranga Pandu Ranga from 8th August
With the shooting of his YVS directed Okka Magadu, still underway, actor Balakrishna is all set to attend the muhurat of his next venture, the periodic film Ranga Panduranga, to be directed by ace filmmaker K. Raghavendra Rao, on 8th August. The film is rumored to have 12 heroines portraying the roles of various Gopikas, though the main leading lady of the film is yet to be finalized. M.M.Keeravani will be providing the music.
On the other hand word from the industry has it that Balakrishna’s Okka Magadu, co starring Nisha Kothari and Simran, might not release during the Dasara as expected. Due to the delay in production producers are apparently looking at 11th Jan 2008 as a convenient date. That’s one slight disappointment for the Nandamuri fans.

Dil Raju signs Sri Vaas

Maverick producer Dil Raju has signed director Sri Vaas, the present toast of the industry following the success of Lakshyam, to direct his next production that is rumored to star Mahesh Babu as the leading man. Well on has to wait and see weather Dil Raju can indeed work out this combination.

K.Viswanath and Veturi join hands for Shivstapadi
They both are inarguably one of the finest that the Indian film industry has ever seen. While K. Viswanath films are considered as valuable showpieces of Indian art forms, Veturi’s lyrics have left a sweet taste on many music lovers’ lips. The combination of these two have reaped hits films like Shankarabharanam, O Seeta Katha, Sagara Sangamam, Siri Siri Muvva, Sapta Padi, Subhodhayam, Subhalekha and Shubashankalpam. Now after a long gap the two veterans are joining forces for the making of a devotional musical album titled Shivstapadi. With music by Parthasaradhi, word also has it that producer Vijayakumar might make the album into a film.

Priyamani-Allu Arjun in Dil Raju’s next
Actress Priyamani has been finalized as Allu Arjun’s leading lady in producer Dil Raju’s latest venture that is to be directed by Bhaskar(of Bommarillu fame). With music by Mani Sharma, a lot of hopes will be pinned on this film given the average performance of Dil Raju’s last released Munna. This yet-to-be-titled venture will start shooting shortly.

Maharajasree Presented by Raasi
Maharajasree has been announced as the title of S.S.Nivas (actress Raasi’s husband) directorial debut, being produced by D.S Rao and presented by Raasi. The film, starring actors Sai Kumar, Vinod Kumar and Shafi in supporting roles will see youngsters Rishi, Anu Mehta and Nikitha in the lead roles. Chandra Bose and Bhaskarabhatla are providing the words for Srilekha’s tunes. The film will be a Sai Krishna Productions venture.

Uday Kiran’s Lakshmi Putrudu 70% complete
Lakshmi Putrudu, a Madhura Entertainment production directed by Raj Kapoor, produced by Polisetti Rambabu and starring Uday Kiran and Diya in the lead role, has completed 70 % of its shooting. The unit is presently in Hyderabad where the song 'Ekkadunna Tension Mama' is being picturised at the historical Golconda fort, on Uday Kiran and Naina. Five of the six songs have been shot while the last song, a comedy track, to star comedian Brahmanandam and item girl Mumaith Khan is yet to be canned. This bilingual father-son sentiment film is slated for an early September release while the music will be released in the first week of August.

Kalyan Ram in a father’s role
No we are not talking about Kalyan Ram’s reel life role but about his real life role. According to a little birdie, Married in August 2006 to, this Nandamuri hunk is all set to become a real life father in a couple of months. Kalyan Ram is presently working in director V.Samudra’s Vijayadasami, a Sai Sarwajit Production, produced by E. Ranga Rao. His next film is an NTR Arts production to be directed by Swarna Subba Rao and produced by Nandamuri Janakiram.
